  1. To be fair though Pedersen has played on wing for us a few times with limited sucess. The only time he stands out is when he piledrives the ball into the back of the net. I cannot remember a Pedersen cross living long in the memory and after all that is his job to deliever crosses.
  2. And people dare criticise for having a season ticket in the Riverside. Blackburn End boys you really don't know what your missing.
  3. Proud of rovers center backs. Who ever plays gives their all and thats all you can hope for. Remember a time not too long ago when if Craig Short didn't play rovers crumbled.
  4. Personally I am sick to death of watching MGP playing down our left flank. His finishing is amongst the very best I've seen since probably Solsjaer in his prime. His aerial ability is also of a good standard. However, his wing play is amongst the very worst I've had the mis-pleasure of watching in many a year. We have a very promising young player coming through in the form of Sergio Peter who in my view can do the job required of a winger, ie supply quality crosses. Surely for the teams sake it makes more sense to play a player like Peter's who benefits our strikers. As for Pedersen I like the skills he does possess and therefore I'd like him to be converted to a striker. Yes he's lightweight but so was Solsjaer, Dalglish and Beardsley. His heading is also of better quality than Kuqi's. In my opinon I think the time has come for Pedersen's skills to be utilised elsewhere.
  5. Brilliant reception for Matty, Managed a lap of honour after final whistle too.
  6. Must agree with you there. The referee was a shower of @#/? right from the start to the finish. I was surprised we had to play against 10. Dirty side Bolton but it's deemed acceptable for them to be that type of side. Bet their unfair play won't even get a mention on MOTD tonight.
  7. I'm sick to death of away supporters coming to Ewood calling us all inbreds and then going home to Darwen, Haslingden, Ramsbottom, etc. Took aload of ###### off a United fan on Wednesday only for him to pull in a few streets down from me! Then today a Bolton fan gave me an ear full then walked upto Fernhurst Farm!
  8. Todd was Rovers best player last night by a distance. His defensive performance against a world class team was one of best I've seen for a long time. Don't even try to pair two of the three together as a regular partnership, we are in the fortunate position of have 3 excellent centre backs. Hughes likes to rotate and well he should it's a squad game nowadays. I'm sure Alex Ferguson would be hoping his two new signing are in the same league as our defenders.
  9. I couldn't agree more. Rovers must unite behind their captain, he simply said what everyone else was thinking. He stuck up for his clubs and now the club should return the honour.
  10. Try 'The Station Inn' Helmshore. It serves a beautiful pint and has many varities of bitters, lagers, stout, even mild. Also the Robin Hood also in Helmshore (feelin' a pub crawl on the way me thinks).
  11. There is no reason on earth why rovers should'nt fill ewood in 9 out of 10 situations. We may only be a town but 30k is more than achievable. Rovers need to do the following:- - Encourage those in outlying area like the Ribble Valley and Rossendale to come to games. Rovers are their local club too. - The asian community needs to be actively encouraged to come to games. Maybe a talented asian player (see scouting for rovers thread) on the team sheet may pay for itself. - The youngsters at the schools within the broader area need to be targeted. When the kids are invited they seem to be from Blackburn schools and not those of the surrounding towns. I'm sure that kids in Accrington, Rossendale and Clitheroe would relish the opportunity of watching the greatest league and players in the world. - At Liverpool in the 50s, 60s and 70s they had a junior kop which i think we should adopt where kids have their own segregated area. At a cost of a couple of quid each kids could go and watch their idols at a greatly knocked down price with their mates. Thus getting more local kids off the streets, interested in football and more importantly interested in rovers. I think this is a gleaming idea for rovers. All in all I believe that with some basic marketing and a bit of traveling to local schools rovers would not have a problem at all, then I'd have to winge about not being able to get a ticket.
  12. Shefri is fast becoming a rovers cult hero in my eyes. Not for grace or flair, not really for formidable forward play or goalscoring, not for work rate, size, celebrations and talent either. I just like his song. And after scoring two today against Middlesbrough "Shefri Kuqi ,,,,, Shefri Kuqi"
  13. There is a signed David Dunn football boot in a display case on e-bay for £49.00!!! Wow I hear you say £5.50 less than Jermaine Pennant' s signed display cased boot. But Pennants is probably tagged.
