  1. Our last manager couldn't even get a phone call from the owners. Who the hell is whispering the deep, dark truth to you? 🤣
  2. I want a refund on my season ticket if he signs for Wigan.
  3. Exactly, not training with his new team - so he'll be behind the eight ball.
  4. Why would he purposefully miss pre-season training?
  5. He talks a good game and he's got all the qualifications. He's not just a chancer.
  6. Without question it's been worth every penny.
  7. If Spurs / Utd etc are interested and he has no loyalty to Rovers then there's nothing we can offer him that they can't blow out of the water.
  8. From what I've seen of the Rovers graduates that have come from other Academies, they're failed ones that we've identified and given a second chance to - JRC, Travis etc. We're not stealing the cream of their crop.
  9. To be fair if FM is anything to go by there's a ton of clauses in such contracts that benefit the club that made him - x amount after so many first team appearances, x amount of transfer profit etc. It's just all on the never never and doesn't benefit us now if he walks.
  10. I THINK they're in for 3-4 quality players, with the rest of the squad being filled out by Academy graduates... which realistically is how it always should have been at this level. If they're not being backed to get those 3-4 players then they'll both walk - they're both qualified and ambitious enough to land good jobs elsewhere. Mowbray was always backed, so hopefully this silence is just them doing their due diligence on the right players, rather than there being no money available.
  11. And he's currently surplus to requirements, having never played a game for them in 2 years.
  12. However do most teams manage with two right footers at the back?!
  13. He's not worth £4m, that's an absurd price. Rangers have been mugged there - Liverpool bought him for £1.6m and he never played a game for them. He's not suddenly become twice the player.
  14. That front 4 seemed very fluid, to be honest. As for Carter at RB - yes, he's a CB by trade and should be the first guy off the bench at CB, but he's also got to be able to cover at RB with how small our squad is.
  15. What's he meant to say in an interview besides empty platitudes? "Yeah, we're after X, Y and Z. Infact, Richard, here's our transfer target list and our budget - go and tweet that". He has two weeks to bring players in (and what, 4 weeks after that until the window closes?). If he fails at that then I'll grab a pitchfork and join in with the rest of you.
  16. I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand I never expected us to get to the Final - we win at OT because it's a massive ground and suits our spinners, we never have the batsmen to blast teams away. On the other hand to get yourself in that situation and throw it away is inexcusable. Embarrassing performance that - they can take no credit away from today.
  17. Then I imagine JDT will be onto his agent to find him another job by September.
  18. It's not the only part of that report I have issue with. Jota played on the left for them, for a start. It was their Israeli 19 year old who tore Pickering to shreds. I also thought Carter was fine at RB, but offers nothing going forward obviously.
  19. The best team in the SPL. Spent £29m on transfers the last two seasons too.
  20. No it doesn't - you need top class Wing Backs to play in a 3-4-3 / 3-5-2 etc. We simply don't have them.
  21. I thought Leonard looked much tidier in the few minutes he was on.
  22. Pleased that JDT seems to have sussed out that Butterworth isn't going to make it at this level. Garrett, Hedges, Markanday and Leonard all brought on before him.
  23. This Celtic team are disgusting. They've left one on Travis and Garrett now.
  24. Same shape. Carter shifted to CB, JRC at RB.
  25. Worryingly this is two managers that have persisted with JRC as a RB, when he's never one in a million years.
