  1. It's hardly Clint's fault he's a film making legend now is it.
  2. The Dark Knight: so good I'm going to have to see it again.
  3. Good, it was looking a little worse for wear at the end of last season.
  4. What a terrible film Indy IV is. It lacked everything that made the other three so good.
  5. I thought he was pretty entertaining, for what it's worth.
  6. Ashley Young was deemed not 'big 4' enough.
  7. You'd snap the hands off the person offering £2m.
  8. Walk the Line made me fall asleep too.
  9. If he performs like that for the rest of the season I'd be delighted. Something has changed, he was 'fired up', for want of a better term. Always looking for the ball, always moving into space, looking to get on the end of crosses and actually beating the first man on his own deliveries. As for his defensive qualities, they're pretty impressive for a left midfielder. Sadly, that was all we were getting from him most games.
  10. At least he's honest.
  11. I'd be willing to test that theory out.
  12. Isn't he always on Setanta? I think McManaman's pretty fair in his analysis. Garth Crooks is terrible though.
  13. Especially when the girl he's cheated with is fugly.
  14. He's the kind of athlete we need in central midfield, but whether he can play there full time is another matter.
  15. Selby played very well in the final, though he struggled to get there in the first place. It's a really wide open sport, which is novel.
  16. Exactly, he's paid a lot of money to manage a football team and for the last two months he's done a terrible job. He's failed to motivate his players and has been proven to be tactically naive by other managers. I'm certainly not advocating his dismissal as he's been great here for three years, but he definately needs to be given a formal warning. Let him know that he has full rein on the football side of the business (i.e. he can buy, sell and hire whoever he wants), but remind him that he's not irreplaceable.
  17. He was on fire because he had a free run at a centre half in space, with nobody willing to give said centre half any support - it was so simple too; collect the ball, draw in Zurab, lay it off to the centre midfielder and set off down the wing. Worked like a charm every time. Once we put someone on him who had the ability to keep up with him he vanished. I'm not saying he's a bad player, but he's not a world beater - decent crosser, solid shot and pacey. Clearly doesn't have the skill to take himself to the next level ala a Giggs or Duff (in his prime), very much just a head down and run at pace into space kind of winger. Certainly better than Pedersen in his current form mind. He's a a headcase - he's lost all confidence and appears to have forgotten how to play the game of football. At one point he was a very skillful, dangerous player (despite his lack of pace). It's very sad and frustrating.
  18. Petrov disappeared when we put Emerton on him. Says it all about hit abilities as a player.
  19. His selections have been pathetic for a while: everyone and their brother can see that Tugay and Mokoena can't play together, yet he persisted with it. Nelsen's lost all his pace and Pedersen couldn't score in a brothel, yet they're automatics when fit. Obviously he's still a very good manager, but he's seriously lost his way of late.
  20. They turned over a team managed by an incompetent muppet, yes.
  21. Well we're the best team in there by a fair way, assuming we hire a competent manager who can motivate his players.
