  1. Jury out on him for now for sure. Likes to get stuck in, and that will always be appreciated at Ewood (when it doesn't go horribly wrong). But he looks off the pace at the moment. Understandable, hopefully he adapts soon.
  2. One decent stop. Everything else I'd have been fuming if he missed.
  3. West Brom's big lads have hit the deck more than our munchkins.
  4. Think we've made quite a lot of poor decisions at the back and fortunate none have backfired fully yet.
  5. Wow they really are cracking down on time wasting...7 minutes added time! Never seen that in a first half at Ewood without a serious injury.
  6. Be in a lot more trouble if he didn't, so I think the luck came in terms of it missing!
  7. Looked like a vape. Let's blame Totally Wicked.
  8. Would have been a wonderful goal too. His decision making was very good there.
  9. Sounds like an excerpt from 50 Shades.
  10. We need to stop with these silly fouls now, ref seems to have had enough. We're a tad fortunate we haven't had two penalties against us too.
  11. I mean, 'big' money seems a stretch. But the irony didn't escape me.
  12. Only two chances we've created too. Clinical.
  13. He won't get bigger, but you can always get stronger.
  14. The second one definitely isn't true. Brereton scored a princely 1 goal per season in his first two seasons. People are way too harsh on Dolan.
  15. Still sounds fucking stupid, pointless and unnecessary to me.
  16. People complain about Totally Wicked, but it's Macron who need replacing. They make nice kits, but the supply issues are an absolute farce. A competent club would have had this contract voided after last season, or placed financial penalties in the contract for failure to supply below a certain threshold.
  17. Maybe we wait until the rumour is actually confirmed?
  18. Probably the wrong thread to come visit then eh?
  19. We can't give away 8,400 shirts - we routinely run out of the ones we have on sale! Tbh I'm surprised Stanley can afford to do this every year. Didn't we once have to give them a load of money to stop them being liquidated?
  20. God that was an amusing read, thank you! From Wikipedia: 'The city of Plymouth is the largest in England fielding a League club to have never hosted top-flight football.' 🤣🤣🤣 Meanwhile, our record without that benefactor is still 2 top flight titles and 6 FA Cups. Most successful town team in England. Throwing in the benefactor, another top flight title, League Cup (after he died), 12th in all-time top-flight table and I believe 10th on all-time trophy table. Whilst I think they've spent about half, maybe more, of their history in or below a tier where we've only spent 6 seasons ever. We don't think we're a Barca, but we certainly know we're not a Plymouth!
  21. I can't see JDT starting the season with a 2-man midfield of Travis and Tronstad. Seems too defensive and unambitious for me, unless Tronstad is a more progressive player than he sounds and looks maybe. Seems to sit a little deep for that pairing to work under JDT's style.
  22. I think the most important factor has definitely been finding full and consistent fitness. With that, we've been able to see the player he really always was. Fingers crossed he stays fit consistently, if so then this contract could be crucial for us.
  23. Thanks for the updates philipl, but how many ways do you want to spell Nsangou's name? 😂
  24. What's sometimes forgotten is that he also scored an own goal in the previous game against Wigan, Google tells me the 63rd minute. His 2 own goals were scored in the first 20 minutes of the Cardiff game. That means he scored 3 own goals in approximately 50 minutes of football. And then got sent off about 70 minutes later (not too long after we had got back into the game with a goal). Got to be some kind of record. And not long after telling us he wanted to leave the club even though our asking price wasn't being met. If it wasn't involvement in some sort of betting ring, it was an attempt to force the club to sell him. My guess is both - wanted to force us to sell, and thought he'd make some money at the same time. But this could just be because I hate the bastard for what he did. I'd quite liked him up until then too.
