  1. Pathetic that we had to scrape that one again. I wouldn't mind if it was now and again, but when we have had an excellent first half and are 2-0 up, you can bank on us being shite and letting the opposition back in for the second half.
  2. Occam's Razor...Mowbray being his usual incompetent, blind self is a sufficient explanation for me.
  3. Then books Travis a minute later. Christ, nearly got the equaliser then, we are so fucking predictable!!
  4. He did get an assist on his debut if I remember right. But mostly yeh, he's been doggers.
  5. Free kick into the box, bounced off someone's shoulder I think, Davies hooked it in from pretty close. There were a lot of bodies packed in on the line when it came into the box.
  6. Fuck sake, I was just about to say I feel safe now and bam, we do a Rovers.
  7. Oh look. Poveda again. Yay.
  8. That was only last season. But no judgement - following Mowbray's Rovers, time does tend to slow to a crawl.
  9. We have to stop doing this. We look like we will get away with it today, but as you say we've been caught out repeatedly with it before. A better team than Derby, or even Derby on a better day, would have at least a goal back by now, leaving our bums squeaky.
  10. Well that was up there with the most mystifying refereeing decisions I've ever seen. Gally gets fouled, Derby get the free kick. Hope Lenihan is alright there. Ref encouraged that by making weak calls all game on fouls.
  11. Commentator just said they expect Derby to be much tougher opposition this half. Personally I expect us to make Derby be much tougher opposition this half.
  12. Looked like a yellow for our lad moments before it, but they didn't get a free kick. I suspect the ref bottled the red because he wasn't sure he had called the other one right.
  13. DId they honestly just call that a half chance?!? Terrible miss from Gally. At a bit of a stretch but come on, sitter that!
  14. Confirmation there that the ball crossed the line. Seemed clear enough to me at the time, tbh.
  15. I know, just a shame you can't splice the best attributes of players together, heh. Would have loved to see a Jason Roberts/Benni McCarthy blend of their best attributes. A Roberts workrate and strength with Benni's technique and finishing...would never have played for Rovers tbf! Nyambe, you're right, will probably never be able to cross like that with any consistency. I do think he can still improve in that area though...maybe under a better coaching setup from after this summer eh? 😞 For now, he is best at getting to the byline in the box and cutting it back.
  16. Go on lads!! Buckley looking ropey at the back but that was a good dangerous cross. If Nyambe could cross like that he'd be playing for a top half Prem team.
  17. Buckley demonstrating again why him at RB is a bad idea. Got away with that really.
  18. Looking at that lineup I have to wonder what the game plan is. Looks unbalanced to me. Johnson in the middle instead of Buckley makes us set up more to defend. But in the actual defence, Van Hecke is better with the ball than Ayala and seems to like running the full length of the pitch to try scoring, and Buckley has no defensive attributes other than being a decent presser, so also looks more attacking. I know those changes are at least partly enforced, but still. Don't think it will set us up with much of a coherent system (par the course these days). I'd rather have had Carter at RB, with Buckley in the middle. Johnson too inconsistent and immobile. Carter isn't great shakes as a RB, but neither is Buckley. Nearly scored early though there, good start so far.
  19. 🀣It really does, well played AllRoverAsia
  20. I expect today to go badly. Buckley at RB gives me kittens, we are away to a team that hasn't lost at home yet, and we've only won once away. Our manager is a tool, and not a useful one. Best I can see today is a draw, if our attackers turn up.
  21. This is painful. Think what you want, but we will have finished playing three games of football in the space of 170 hours, which is 7 days plus 2 hours. Or 7 days plus 3 hours once you add in the clock going back (which I'm doing by popular request πŸ˜‰ ). Beyond that, use whatever batshit semantics to call it whatever you want to try to make it sound longer if you like, I'm not going to continue on this inane path.
  22. Much like Wheelton, you haven't taken in what I've said. Let's just fob this off and focus on the game eh?
  23. One where we debated on the merits of the discussion and not via ad hominem. Try again. You're counting the morning of the first day before the first game, and the evening after the second game, that's why you're getting this wrong.
  24. That cheating club...are we not essentially pulling the same kind of trick with the training ground 'sale'? Tbh the rules are such a load of tosh anyway that it's no surprise some clubs don't respect them. 'Fair' play my arse.
  25. The time gap between kick-off on Saturday 30th October and kick off on Saturday 6th November is 168 hours. 168 divided by 24 is 7. We play three games in a 7-day period. If you want to be super pedantic, 7 days plus about 2 hours for the third match to finish playing out, but come on.
