  1. I wonder if Sheron thinks we were causing them some problems at 3-0 down after 9 minutes?
  2. We would get the same days, the same results? This has literally never happened to this club before in all its proud history, what in the fuck are you talking about you goddamned fossil?!? I just can't get over that not only has it not even occurred to him to apologise to the long suffering fans for a record-breaking defeat, but that he has doubled down on attacking, dividing and patronising them at an extremely sore moment. You can't ever lower my expectations enough that a 7-0 home tonking by a team in the same league becomes remotely acceptable. Any manager who thinks that falls under the bracket of 'same days, the same results' will always be one who needs to fuck off and pleasure himself with an active chainsaw.
  3. There can be no question after this latest display of arrogance and disrespect to the fans, Mowbray is now firmly in Kean territory.
  4. 'If we'd got a result we'd have gone 4th in the division' Aww, and we came so close to getting a result, too...
  5. Yes, a big sign, reading 'WE ARE FAR TOO AFRAID TO SERIOUSLY QUESTION THE RUNNING OF THE CLUB'
  6. Dolan probably the only one of that list who has managed a couple of decent efforts there. Only by virtue of being a pain in the ass though, it's clearly not his position and sometimes it shows. All the others have, as far as I can remember, been abject failures in that role in every single time? And yet he keeps trying it. Like his 5 at the back rubbish.
  7. I'm more worrying that he looked relaxed throughout it...because he feels safe as houses.
  8. I'd expect similar yes but I suspect he may go for a little more, maybe up to 18 ish. Depending on his goal tally end of season. A few reasons: He is mostly scoring from out wide..if he ends up with an Armstrongesque tally from there it will be very impressive. He is more of a team player and taller. He is very marketable in Chile. With the right marketing it could probably cover his salary. We paid up to 7 million for him, a big risk at the time, so will probably play a bit harder on negotiating and clubs will inherently understand that. Tiny bit of inflation.
  9. I think excellent is a stretch. He wasn't back to his best yet. Now he has had another ACL and is going to be another year older. I'll be honest, I'm not expecting fireworks from him and it could take months for him to get fully up to speed. I'll also be constantly worried one of his ACLs will go again. Hopefully Mowbray shows sense and takes it slowly with him and maybe we can get the old Dack back. His pace doesn't fully suit our approach though, and could well be reduced further, but no doubting he has quality.
  10. Tbh I'm not surprised, I imagine his confidence is in the toilet. He was flying on his loan last season, got signed on again for just a year...then palmed off on loan again. Think he is one of those players where most of the battle is in their head. Mowbray's treatment of him has always been bizarre. He seems to simultaneously rate him and not rate him, having loaned him, signed him permanently, extended his deal...but never really given him a proper shake of the stick despite showing talent on numerous occasions. Some of the harsher posters on here who don't seem to deal with potential, and don't rate a player unless they force their way into our idiot manager's plans, will likely tell me he just isn't good enough. But I simply don't buy that. There have been times he absolutely should have had a run in the team and no such thing happened. It's incredibly difficult to be undervalued, it makes you question if you're as good as you think, which makes you perform worse and question yourself more. People can say the strongest characters overcome that, and they often do, but there are still people who can play at the top that don't fit that bill of extreme mental strength. They just need things to land for them at the right time and a manager who demonstrates belief in them. Chapman's career with us is clearly over, which just makes it all the more mystifying we signed him on again, just to sign two similar level players in his position on loan and send him off again. For his sake (and the tiny amount of money we might get from future sales if he is a success) I hope he gets it together this season to earn a proper move and get his career back on track. Otherwise I can see him retiring in the next few years. Has plenty of talent.
  11. Well. I don't want to get carried away as he is no such thing. But he may have finally realised blurting out our likely selections and tactics before the game is dumb, whilst fibbing about it can mess with the opposition's tactics.
  12. Was referring to whether Nyambe will play or not.
  13. Tbf he has recent form for lying about who is fit or not. Maybe he is doing it again.
  14. And his 5 at the back nonsense.
  15. Half agree. He's not top end Prem at all, or standout, but I'd say he's a steady Prem striker. Poor season last year but he has scored 11 and 9 in the past, which is solid enough for a bottom half side.
  16. Heh yeh would have been nice not to face him. Today maybe, but you don't score 18 joke goals by November (not saying you don't know that, you acknowledged he is a top player in this league). We do have a generous streak, more of one than the Baggies I think...gonna really need to be at the races.
  17. I certainly hope you're right. Why are you so confident about that though? He has 50% more goals than the next guy on the list (who thankfully is our guy). He's consistently been a goal machine at this level. Big, strong as an ox. Puts the frighteners on me frankly! Thankfully Lenihan is strong too, but I think it will take more than that to keep him quiet.
  18. It's probably on account of the fact that he has looked far better than Poveda and like he actually has something about him. He is capable of terrifying defences. Is he looking the finished article? No, but him being Mowbray'd didn't help. Poveda has been consistently bollocks since his first 20 minutes or so which were decent. Mildly improved in the last couple games perhaps, but still tosh. Despite that, he gets more game time than Khadra, which is bound to be dispiriting as we have seen umpteen times with Mowbray's bizarre selection choices. Players look exciting, they get benched until they stop doing that. They lose morale, play less expansively, then the fans start saying they're poor, which justifies Mowbray's decision to bench them. I'm not saying he does that to justify benching someone, which would be bizarre of course, but he is terrible at sensing which players are on form and continuing to play them. It's no coincidence that Poveda is improving with (unwarranted) game time and Khadra is regressing by unfairly getting less time than he has deserved. Players are human and need confidence, regardless how much they're paid or whatever.
  19. Just seen that monster Mitrovic has 18 goals already. He's going to fistfuck us on Wednesday.
  20. I'd keep Khadra too. Clarkson and Poveda can bounce, based on what we've seen so far.
  21. Neither were named on the bench. Poveda or JRC were the only attacking options. Would have rather seen JRC. Poveda hasn't been anywhere near good enough so far.
  22. True, if you're going to sit back and shore up, as the plan clearly was, 4-3-3 is hardly the formation for it. Might as well take an attacker off for a defensive mid if that's the 'strategy'.
  23. Not sure, I think it was before the Reading game (might have been after though) that the stat said our points tally was I think a point less than last season's. 2 wins in a row might be enough to have switched us to best start since going down though, maybe.
  24. I dunno, but I certainly have a punt when we are 2 up.
