  1. 3-2 win against Boro u23s in the Premier League Cup. Burns, Horlock and Leonard with the goals. Run out for Davenport.
  2. Not wanting to rehash the whole Raya thing, but Raya won us more points with saves most keepers wouldn't make than he cost us with errors. That's not revisionism btw, I said the same repeatedly at the time. And that he would reduce those errors over time is hardly surprising.
  3. Damn, what a time for me to be isolating! Would have been able to make that nearly any other Friday of the year.
  4. A lot is made of the Chilean callup for bringing him along, and I agree it has helped, but after the first lockdown is really when he started making strides. I don't think Chile would even have been interested until then.
  5. Who cares how he goes at Rangers? It's a dogshit league. Even if he does well in the Celtic games and handful of European games, it will be too small a sample to be useful. Personally I do agree the manager has misused him at times, which hasn't helped at all. But there is a degree to which Joe is responsible for not fulfilling his potential too. Ultimately he is brilliant at running at people as we all know, but his decision making and finishing is sometimes suspect. All players have weaknesses though.
  6. Well, it won't mean a thing if you don't put it in the public domain. Why can't you share these emails if you're theoretically willing to in future?
  7. No. That's not what I'm getting at. I'm not saying owning us earns them great respect or garners attention anymore, I'm saying having us go under would reflect very badly. Another poster explained it isn't the culture in India to let businesses you own go under, it causes a serious loss of face.
  8. When I initially saw this on Facebook I assumed it was the league player of the month. We are doing our own club player of the month award now? When did that start? Seems a bit pointless.
  9. I understand letting us go to the wall would reflect terribly on them back home, but it still doesn't explain why they've never been willing to even open discussions on selling the club. Surely if it went bust under a different lot, that wouldn't be their problem? No, thank you, absolutely not at all.
  10. I'm confused, has the BRIC been shut down? Sorry if this is old news, but I don't live in the area anymore and it's the first I've heard of it.
  11. Magloire was a very lucky (or very unlucky) lad to still be on the pitch for the start of the second half. I can't remember when the last time I saw an RB performance as bad as that first half from him. What boggles my mind is by the data, granted from that one run, he is one of the fastest players in Europe. But he was the slowest lad on the pitch today. Turned like the Evergreen. I had a pitch side view of him first half too and it was just painful. Tbh I could see the look on his face clearly as well and I'm not sure he wanted to be there. If he is capable of Mbappe top speeds, the only excuses for the sloth-like running today can be that he was being lazy or isn't really fit.
  12. I take it you haven't seen how our defence is lining up then. Either that or you're just relentlessly mercering regardless.
  13. Hmm, what's the betting that we let Forest stick another silly sell on clause up our arsehole whilst they had our pants down?
  14. Yep, ludicrous. One lad can't get into our first team and looks crap when he does, the other is a regular who contributes well. The usual horseshit. This kind of thing is why I lost interest in England outside of tournaments.
  15. When I say he hasn't adjusted to u23s, I mean reports suggest he isn't playing very well at an inferior level. He isn't ready for this level. Rooney, a generational talent, was.
  16. Doesn't sound like he has fully adjusted to u23 football yet (no shame in that for a 16 year old). One step at a time.
  17. Hasn't stopped him so far. And plenty of evidence to suggest he is, indeed, foolish.
  18. Yup, I pointed out a few weeks ago that he would probably be back round about in time to get in Wharton's way. Think Wharton is probably still a few weeks away though, not heard any updates on him in a while.
  19. I also find it strange he has stayed at Brighton instead of spending the time getting to know his teammates, attending briefings etc. Wonder if we will now start to hear 'it will take some time for him to get used to the club'...
  20. Not liking any of these suggestions of Buckley or Travis at RB at all. We need Travis in midfield. Johnson is not a like for like replacement, he is too slow to effectively break up play. Buckley is trash at RB and useful in midfield. If both first choice CBs are fit, play Carter there. If not and we need Carter central, play Edun there. Yeh he's left footed but he wouldn't be the first left footer to play RB. At least he is a fullback and it causes less problems elsewhere than the alternatives. If Travis does end up RB I spose you could put Edun in CM, but I dunno if he is any good at disrupting the play.
  21. I mean, a little harsh, he's still a bit raw and could improve. I wouldn't ban him from ever playing again. But I'm in absolutely no rush to see him any time soon. Needs to go to League One in Jan and establish himself like Carter did or then I can't see a future for him here.
  22. Yeh, no. And what portion of this mammoth fictional salary do you think we are paying?
  23. It is unbelievable. As in, I don't believe that you know what it is.
  24. Terrible defending. Magloire sauntering, Ayala drawn away when he shouldn't have been. That will be that.
