  1. The somewhere else might stop wanting him if he doesn't play better than that.
  2. TM very lucky BBD has possibly got him out of jail there, because that was our first shot on target, this late in the game. We might scab a result, but that alone shows the whole approach has been wrong.
  3. So to summarise the subs... 1-0 down, brings off an attacker for a defender. Also changes formation. Then, brings on an attacking midfielder for a defensive one (not the defensive one who has been anonymous though). Then finally, takes off a defender for another defensive midfielder. Presumably changing the formation again as a result, or at least the 'tactics'. Utterly batshit, incoherent approach. No consistency to it whatsoever. Are you trying to win the game or shore it up Tony? Just fuck off already!
  4. Hahaha that's a bold prediction!! Even bolder than Mercer saying us to win was a license to print money! There will be excuses galore. What it definitely won't be according to the presser, the LT comments fans or many of the FB fans, is Mowbray's fault.
  5. Taking them even further away from the danger players and expecting a slow CB to cover it doesn't seem a good solution to me.
  6. Some of our best attacking options too, in Dolan and Rothwell. If he wanted to go more defensive, Rothwell coming on to play mid would make more sense than totally shutting up shop. He also wasn't, presumably, going to make this formation switch until Poveda was injured..so just bring Dolan on. Makes it up as he goes this bloke.
  7. You've got to be shitting me. He has brought Ayala on for Poveda. WE ARE FUCKING LOSING NUMBNUTS!!! We don't look like scoring, how is an extra defender going to solve that!?
  8. That's probably Mowbray justifying dropping him for the next 6 months to play Gally or Bucko at RB then.
  9. Keeping the shirt after a good 3-1 win. Rothwell's last start was the 7-0 thrashing. Not his fault or anything but the point is sticking with the winning formula, something we do too infrequently.
  10. Bristol commentators ludicrously biased. Khadra just destroyed about 4 of their players in a row and they carried on waffling about how one of their players is doing in training. Barely mention our players at all.
  11. Seems odd to block Ireland off. They're hardly going to be coming to games too often.
  12. Now that's interesting....three lots of fans of teams called 'Rovers' all in one town or city at the same time to see their teams play on the same day. Has to be a first? I suppose we might have all been visiting London at some point but surely the odds of that are still low.
  13. I dreamt last night, that we won this 4-1... My dreams never come true. Defeat or draw it is.
  14. Before moving down there I'd always thought 'duck' was a term only used for women. You can imagine my surprise when the first person to call me it was a burly bus driver in Newcastle-under-Lyme! Thought he was hitting on me or something. I didn't spend a lot of time in Stafford, mostly just travelled through, and mostly at the uni (and at a uni, you'll always get all sorts of accents). So I never really got the chance to listen for the accent. If that's true I'd imagine you're either a bit posh there 😉 (the amount of people I've known from York or other parts of Yorkshire that sound southern...) or the accents all cancel each other out somehow.
  15. It does run out in the summer. But we will extend it before then. There is no rumour that we don't have an extension, that's just your rumour. Sharpe isn't journalist of the year, but he wouldn't make up the club telling him they have a 1 year extension. We have 1 year extensions, in our favour, in the vast majority of deals we get players to sign these days. There is no reason to think it isn't true for BB. I can't remember us activating one of them before December so far, as we simply don't need to.
  16. Wow, that really is derisory. A competent board could probably get 5 million back out of Chilean marketing. Surely a player of his age, recent record and cult following is rated at least £15 million. Don't think I can even believe journalism that describes him as '5m-rated'. Expect the whole thing is made up.
  17. I guess wherever there is something to be won or gained in life, whether money or just bragging rights, you'll find a portion of people willing to cheat for it.
  18. I know you have Potter in your name, but I lived around Stoke myself for about 7 years and I wouldn't call that a thick Stoke accent. I'd say it's a bit of a mix, about 80% Stokie maybe but something else underlying it (which I'd assume is a dash of Chilean, but it doesn't really sound Chilean because of the mix...she almost sounded Geordie in a few brief moments!). That said, despite the fact I can do a lot of accents and lived down there for 7 years, I was never able to do a Stokie accent properly myself. It's a bit of a hodge podge of a few other accents, I could never figure out the 'rules'. Sometimes it sounds scouse, sometimes brummy, sometimes northern...
  19. I don't really follow cricket, but wasn't there a big furore over the Aussie cricket team for bad sportsmanship not so long ago? Unfortunately sport in general is rife with cheating and corruption. Even at amateur level I've seen diving and other cheating...and seriously nepotistic, at best, organisations. FIFA are absolutely vile though.
