  1. I think Rooney didn't become as great as I expected him to be after seeing him in his teens, but I don't think there is any question for most people that he was world class. There's a difference between world class and legends. You're mostly describing legends who were at some point the single greatest player on the planet. Although in all honesty, and as much as I loved them, Xavi and Iniesta don't qualify for that definition either.
  2. Wow, most of the comments so far...how can I put this politely...I find mystifying. With the exception of the Armstrong goals - which is likely them trying to ram some Arma goals in there cos he has so many, but no eye catchers, and they involved decent approach play - and the Dolan tap-in which is probably there for its sentimental value with him scoring against the club that released him, all the rest are very good goals. I can only assume the bitterness of how insipid this season has been in general has blinded some people. There have been 2 or 3 seasons I think from memory, since we came down, with much worse goal of the season reels. Comparing to the Prem days is pointless.
  3. Derby County Football Club - the official charity providing for BRFC.
  4. I wish. I think it's more likely that HMS Journey - a ramshackle, rusty rowboat - will continue unabated, ultimately washing up on shore in a hundred pieces. HMS standing for His Mowbray's Service.
  5. Like I said before, you can bet your arse he won't mention it at all. It suddenly won't be relevant. Tbf, if he does say something like 'I didn't think we were good enough because we didn't control the ball enough' I'll only be angrier.
  6. It says something that this is only our second win in 16 games and yet I felt almost no emotion, relief, or anything.
  7. 43% possession and a win. Will Mowbray take any lessons from that? Nope.
  8. Both goals lived a charmed life second half. That was a penalty for them at the end. Ref bottled it though, maybe still second guessing his judgement on Arma going down a bit earlier.
  9. Is it in the commentator's contract that he has to say 'catching practice for Kaminski' every game?
  10. I'm more pointing out the ref really didn't need to book him for it anyway. Just being a jobsworth. Agree he probably shouldn't have taken the shirt off though, can express solidarity in other ways.
  11. Strange he is still contracted there. 24 years old and only one appearance for them.
  12. Somehow I suspect it won't be mentioned today.
  13. We have been vastly improved second half tbf. Not that it changes a goddamn thing in relation to the fact Mowbray should go. Just hope it's not enough to spare him in the supposed summer assessment. If we can keep the win it should be enough to feel safe though.
  14. What is the point of booking Elliott for taking his shirt off? He had another shirt underneath, and there are no fans in the ground to antagonise. Pointless.
  15. Not Arma's day in front of goal.
  16. Ahh that makes a lot more sense. Would still disagree, he is ten times the player Brown was. Which is to say, still not good enough. Hard to judge him properly from a position he is incredibly poorly suited for though.
  17. Yep. The closeup on Gallagher showed he wasn't really arsed either.
  18. Be realistic. Behind Chris Brown? Brown's goal record makes Gallagher look like Shearer. And Brown got to actually play up front.
  19. Did the commentator just say Tony will have given them a rollicking at half time? Is he joking?
  20. Tall striker scores header shocker
  21. Aye it's all about these scintillating performances.........
  22. Kaminski you lazy bastard, what was that?
  23. Disappointing. Those stats don't show the Xg, so I now have no idea how we are really doing in this game. Actual goals scored is useless data.
