  1. Apart from the ropey English from a man who isn't a native speaker, seems fine to me. The way you said it I expected to read him saying they bossed the game and should have won. Like Ewood Ace said, he also took personal responsibility which I can't remember Tony ever doing, at least not this clearly.
  2. Yep. I didn't say that to downplay Chile or Brereton. Chile are a decent side. They're generally recognised as not being as good as England though (not that we couldn't lose to them on an off day), so I just feel the fact one looks nailed on for England and the other will have done very well if he plays for Chile emphasises the difference.
  3. I was going to post the stats whatever I found them to show, as a point of debate. I wasn't making a point for or against your point. But since we're here now. The stats show Brereton needs an additional half a game (47.57 minutes) for each goal contribution. I consider that quite a bit. It takes him 29.75% longer for each contribution, I make it. For comparison, Armstrong has a goal contribution every 113.41 minutes. A similar difference in minutes per contribution between him and Elliott compared to between Elliott and Brereton. I don't think it means Brereton is trash or anything, but it's a fair difference to me. Especially when BB is 22, in his third season at the club and Harvey Elliott is 18 and in his first ever season of regular senior football. Elliott will play for England one day, most of us are sure of that. Brereton will be lucky if Chile decide to fit him in.
  4. Brereton: 2,282 minutes, 11 goal contributions, a goal contribution every 207.45 minutes Elliott: 2,718 minutes, 17 goal contributions, a goal contribution every 159.88 minutes
  5. And nobody would pay 7 million for Brereton again right now.
  6. Buckley has been very poor since coming on. In fact he hasn't been very good since he got inexplicably dropped when he finally started playing well. It's almost as if dropping in form players to play with your tombola demoralises them.....
  7. He has this tendency to pull out of a save if he judges it to be going wide. He has done it all season and been excellent at judging it correctly for the most part, preventing a lot of corners. But that's the second time it has resulted in a goal. Think I'd rather he just tries to save it if there's any doubt. He might not have stopped that anyway but I like to see keepers at least try.
  8. I don't think he cares. He is a 'performance' manager and would rather we enjoy the spectacular performance of having 65% possession and losing 1-0 than having 41% and winning 5-1.
  9. Thing is Rev, doesn't sound like it will be a rethink. According to the LT the club had already decided to stick with him this summer. Madness.
  10. If I didn't want the manager gone and the season wasn't over, I'd be euphoric now. Nice to be pasting someone though. Hudds defence the worst we have seen this season?
  11. Huddersfield goalie the worst I've seen since Walton.
  12. Another counter-attacking goal. I'm sure there is a lesson in this somewhere. Hmmm....
  13. If 2 wins in 17 didn't end Mowbray, I can't see 2 wins in the last 5 finishing the job. Winning today probably cements his job for the start of next season at least. Sadly.
  14. Seemed like a spell of us controlling the ball when Huddersfield scored on a counter attack. Will Tony learn? Will he buggery.
  15. I've just seen that on the google score just before I saw yours. I'm gonna have to watch it again when they show it.
  16. It wasn't an own goal. He should have done better though.
  17. 'We apologise for accidentally showing you a dominant Rovers side racing into an early 2-0 lead including scoring from a set piece. This was archive footage. Your normal programme is now resumed.'
  18. Fucking hell, is Armstrong drunk today?! Actually the exact ball I was willing Bell to do, well done.
  19. Lenihan looking at Travis and saying 'anything dumb you can do, I can do dumber' Lucky Nyambe was there, that's spared him the red. Not sure he even knew he was there.
  20. Bad positioning from their goalie there. Huddersfield are looking a bit wank at the back. Well found by Gally.
  21. Wow, Armstrong gets it on a plate and passes it to someone who has a tighter angle. Where is that sense of camaraderie when he has absolutely nothing on but fancies a shot anyway??
  22. Terrible defending from Huddersfield there. If you concede a set piece to us, you know you fucked up.
  23. Yep very stupid from him. There was no real need to get a booking there. Unlucky Ben
  24. Missed some bits but I'd say we look better second half than first, but hardly scintillating still. A few players have looked handy in moments but nobody grabbing the game by the scruff. Derby a strong side at this level though of course.
