Have a look at transfermarkt. As I posted previously he had a very good goals and assists record from LB last season. 5 goals 5 assists I think it was. Can also operate LW where he got 2 more assists. Has already scored in his one appearance this season.

So they can be named then presumably?

Rovers vs. Wycombe - 19th Sept, 3pm
bluebruce replied to J*B's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Doesn't normally stop him! In the sense of changing it because we are afraid of them, yes. But in the sense of 'our possession based game isn't getting us results and hasn't consistently since we implemented it, and now we are playing a team that our manager says loves playing possesion based teams'...I just think we might not want to spend nearly the entire game camped outside their area waiting for the inevitable counter attack that sinks us. We've seen this movie before. We should try to get them to open up a bit more, because if they park the bus I'm sure we will just kick against it in vain all game. -
As was mine...sorry I thought that was obvious.

You can't complain about the deleted larks, then as soon as I give you an undeleted one, you want to delete it.

Tbf 1.5m is nearly Whiteman's fee. Dunno what wages he expects though, probably roughly in the 10kpw, 500k per year bracket.

Rovers vs. Wycombe - 19th Sept, 3pm
bluebruce replied to J*B's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I read that interview earlier and it only made me even less optimistic. He basically acknowledged all of Wycombe's strengths play against our weaknesses, but that we aren't going to change our approach to account for that at all. -
Tonight's game against City can be watched on City's platform. For free, although that's because theres a 30 day free trial followed by 1.99 per month, so just make sure to cancel it before that. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.mancity.com/news/eds-academy/watch-man-city-eds-blackburn-rovers-city-63736015

Really think that's a shame for us, he was looking like a perfect solution to Trav being out. Hopefully we have other, good irons in the fire.
-
Great touch for his goal too. Commentator was awful. Total non reaction to that superb overhead kick for the opener.
-
It may be hindsight to you, but as keeps being pointed out, quite a lot of us were upset with the Raya fee at the time. That's not hindsight, that's foresight. Regardless of what we thought he would be selling for just a year down the line, we all (those who were unhappy with the fee) thought he was already worth more than 3 million and would probably go on to be worth quite a bit more. Don't rewrite history.
-
Wow, that's a lot more than 1.7m, you're right! No wonder we are in debt! Dack is a very good player at this level, but paying the best part of a billion for him was madness...
-
Poor example. It would be ridiculous to describe him missing a free kick as a sitter. Holtby could have scored. There's no should about it. His technique was solid, he was just a little unlucky.
-
Right, cos that's all that matters, not the stuff I said. Got it. Context is king. It was bloody close. If he had got it a foot to the left we'd be calling it an emphatic finish and really lauding it.
-
Holtby's? The one where he smashed Nyambe's cross just wide? The force he struck that, how close it came, the difficulty from the way his body was turning...I'm not saying it was a terrific attempt but if that's missing an absolute sitter then nearly every miss is a sitter.

I didn't particularly want Gallagher. Certainly not at 5 million. Fairly sure there will be posts on here of me saying he wasn't worth more than about 2 million or so. I did want Chapman, and think it was a gamble worth taking. It didn't pan out, partly IMO from Tony not playing him when the time was right. Which seems to have pissed the player off and disillusioned him. Partly the player's fault too, and the injury. He probably won't have worked out by the time he is done at the club, which is a shame.
-
Well now you're being hyperbolic about the hyperbole
-
Ah I forgot about Kasey Palmer. Guess it's a 50% hit rate then. I mean he wasn't horrendous, but definitely a show pony at this point of his career, epitomising the flash type not cut out for this league, as you mentioned. You're right he is probably mostly talking high end Prem clubs at that 1.5 mill a season figure, though there may be the odd outlier in lower Prem sides (prospects they bought for decent money rather than grew, for example). I feel he likes to take the most extreme examples and run with them though.
-
Runarsson is very cheap, less than 2 mill, and Brentford allegedly want to loan Raya back for a season. So if they were signing Raya as an investment and have the cheaper kid be backup whilst Raya goes back to Brentford, it still makes sense. Then next season maybe loan Runarsson out instead. Either deal could just not be happening, of course.
-
Although it probably won't happen, I'd be fairly buzzing if we signed Manning and loaned Garner. Pears will do as backup GK too.
-
Certainly if a Prem club genuinely wants him we have no chance. But surely it wouldn't be too hard a deal for them to tie up if so? Which makes you wonder why is he still there. If it is him, it fits with our transfer strategy this window. Frozen out, just like Kaminski was. With the Kipre attempt we were trying to take advantage of Wigan's collapse. Ayala a free agent. We are definitely shopping for players who are costing less than they should. The covid climate will help with that too, though who knows how much it has affected our own budget.
-
Reading a bit more on Manning's situation, it very much sounds like if Manning and Osayi-Samuel don't agree contracts, they'll be sold this window. Manning has been in the process of changing agents and his new representatives haven't held formal talks with QPR yet - as of 6 days ago.
-
Not sure why that deal is dragging out so much. 15 mill or so isn't that much these days for a Prem side, let alone the likes of Manure and AC Milan, to pay for an experienced Prem striker at 28 years old. You have to think if any of the big clubs really wanted him he would be there now. They're probably either not interested or looking at other targets first. We could definitely use a few million from that one.
