  1. It was straight at him but he dealt solidly with it. We were a little lucky we got fouled as it dropped straight onto a plate for a Derby player who put it in, but the whistle went.
  2. Hooray!! Would have never predicted a bit ago that we were going to embark on a 4 match winning run!
  3. Bringing Buckley on for the flanks is completely wasteful. He isn't quick enough.
  4. More than our total defensive budget for the next ten years.
  5. Huh. And yet when I do some big Tosin, the newspapers describe it as a 'completely classless act', and that I 'shouldn't be allowed unsupervised at the Mall'. Pfft.
  6. Ffs, so irritating to see Gally come on for Graham yet still get stuck wide for Armstrong to go up top!
  7. Rothwell not at his best again. Probably the one who will get hooked for Bennett. I know it has been said before, but Tosin really can ping a pass effortlessly. I can see why West Brom fans were most impressed with him at DM.
  8. Good lad! I know he's frustrating but he's usually worth having on the pitch, for me. Should've been getting dropped not long ago though, but always an outlet at worst.
  9. Apart from an absolute mystery free kick in the first half it hasn't been too bad. Compared to the usual shit in this league. Not been many big decisions to make.
  10. Derby no shots on target at all. Been a poor game. Derby really aren't looking anything special at all. We need to be more decisive in our final plays, and stop this odd mix of slowly playing it around for ages then mindlessly lumping it when someone gets bored. Lack of movement from us.
  11. Not just Armstrong. All the attacks are breaking down at the final hurdle. Arma can definitely do better though and needs to pull it out. Shot was poor. Not how you want the only truly clear chance we've had to be dealt with. Thank god that Derby player was offside.
  12. I feel like today is important for more reasons than the norm. I fear that losing will bring out the tinker man again, whereas winning could hopefully cement the notion of a stable side in his head.
  13. Yeh and we only have Cunningham and Williams injured, to be reduced to that. We also technically have a winger in the starting defence (done well though). Is Bell injured, or has Tony just had enough of him?
  14. Absolutely 100% the same observations I made. I really hope he only says this 'create competition' shit for psychological reasons with the players. Even then, I'd rather they got a rocket up their arses by worrying they may get replaced.
  15. If they'd sacked the ones who did the actual drink driving too, that would make it a much fairer decision. Given he is the one to have suffered the most and didn't actually drive or crash the car, it makes it clear it's all a decision about assets more than it is about gross misconduct, and I'd expect him to be able to win his appeal to the league or in court. None of which isn't to say he hasn't been a fucking idiot of course.
  16. You remember how Mowbray also said he was going to fix the defence? Yet here we are. We are pretty bad at getting business over the line these days. Even if he does try all out for 2 or 3 players, most of us won't be the least surprised if we only land one. Zero isn't out of the question either, though it would be a real blow.
  17. Just had a look and his youth goals were all at under 17 and under 16. Tbf that's hardly comparable to the Championship and Premiership at all. Gally definitely needs to start scoring more though.
  18. When and where have you seen him play?
  19. Whether free or not, I don't want to register to news sites. Got enough crap I have to sign up to already these days! I didn't look for whether they cost, I just immediately binned them off. I don't want to try hard enough lol Cheers for the link.
  20. Been linked with Leeds, Villa and Dortmund. It'd be odd if he turned up here, partly because of those links and partly because it's weird to spend 15 million on young strikers, then loan a 19 year old to develop another club's player up front. Oh and the fact the defence and keeper should be 100% our priority. Maybe TM thinks he is the next Tammy Abraham type loan signing.
