  1. i think i might chance getting a junior ticket for £20. i mean, when do they ever check at the turnstiles??! it worked at west ham away last season when i saved about £29 on a ticket by plumpin for an u-16s ticket for a pound! ...so (Please don't use that word again) you chelsea!!,anyway serves them right for not doing a student consession. its so nice to see mourinhos sappy, bitter little face....nice 1 villa cheers!
  2. mine is not only signed by the championship winning squad of 94/95,but also by jack walker, when by chance i saw him in the car park of the dell way back in 1999. how much would that be worth now do you lot think?
  3. why the hell is he bringing all this up now? i hope that brum dont come back up, simon jordand right, they are a club financed by the sale of dildo's,nuff said in my humble opinion!.
  4. an interseting read if nothing else.as someone previously posted some goods ppints made but some bad,bad ones too.does this guy forget where we finished last season?.we have had a bad run in the last 5 games but so do all teams outside the top 5 at some stage of the season...it happens!!!.personally i would have predicted this position at this stage of the season.no team can cop with a uefa cup run and the premiership.it normally always affects form.so get used to it! however we bought in 8.5 million over the summer through sales of bellamy and kuqi.we bought in i think 7 or 8millions worth of players?.well anyway,we should have been looking to build on a 6th place finnish (natrual progression) and looking to add depth to our squad for the uefa.we didnt.its there for all to see.i know though that hughes prefers to keep a warchest back for the jan sales,so i am hoping he splashes the cash in jan on QUALITY not QAUNTITY.god we need it.an attacking midfielder to link play between our midfield and our strikers.nonda and mccarthey are being forced to play with their backs to goal all the time feeding on scraps and this is not how they play.also another another striker to add more depth to our attacking line.jeffers will not score more than 2 goals this season, and he is meant 2 be our 3rd choice striker!. anyway why do u lot call vinjay yajniv?i know it his name back to front but why?,same goes for calling bolton notlob??? answers on a postcard please!
  5. small world!,i too was in yates in leicter sq yesterday...did u not find it hilarious they had their xmas tree up?!
  6. an absolute joke in the 1st half, better in the second though. but if you take 5 of our guarateed 1st team out of the equation (nelsen, emerton, reid, sav, nonda) then yes we would always struggle!. i got kicked out after bentleys (it was him wasn't it?!!!)consolation, for, wait for it...SWEARING!!pah,should have kicked out 30-odd thousand other people then. one thing that did shoc me though was how mute many of our fans are.i dont get to many rovers games as i am from southampton, but now i am london based aim 2 get to a whole lot more.its a joke that people leave 20...YES 20! minutes before the end of the game, what the hell is that about?!. i do however think that hughesy can talk a half time talk though,as on a few occasions we have been abysmal in the 1st half, and much, much better second, and that seemed 2 b the case 2day. was benni offside for what would have been the equaliser?.i thought that mickey gray wasnt too bad, well certainly not that bad in comparison 2 the rest of the team anyway.
  7. why does everyone feel the same about this?!! i am normally reasonably accurate with my gut feelings, and i feel like a loss. but if we can keep things tight 4 the 1st 20-25mins then w.h.u WILL get demoralised. if we concede early then...well then i dont know what il do! DOES ANONE KNOW WHICH UNDERGROUND STATION WE NEED FOR UPTON PARK?? IS IT WEST HAM OR UPTON PARK??!!
  8. great performance.if only tugay was 25 and not 35 eh??. well pleased with the performance, and of course the result. what was the scuffle about at the end?
  9. although we offered bellamy £65,000 per week, that was an exception. spurs get 40,000 people in their ground every week.we struggle for 20,000.this gives them a bigger pulling power in terms of wages and transfer budget.we cant compete with that. im not from blackburn,so would just like to ask... am i right in believingwe used to sell out every week during 1992-1998 right.i went to some div 1 games and we got 25,000 plus.so for rovers supporters from blackburn where are the 10,000 or so people gone? what could we realisticly do to get more people in?. footballers are egomaniacs and wanna play in front of full houses.we cant offer that. but still mido is a lyer and although a good player has fallen out with all most all of the managers he has played for.he had talks set up with saints a few seasons ago,and failed to show up.thats how big mido thinks he is.i would actually rather have mccarthy instead of mido,as by listening to mccarthy he already has huge respect for the club.
  10. i thought emerton and bentley down the right were outstanding today. i dont know why mccarthy didnt put himself in the box a bit more though.
  11. benito carbone scored a spectacular effort against us. who cares though,it was when we were already 4-0 or 5-0 up,and we went on to win 7-2. by the way,we havent had a 7-0,7-1 scoreline for a while actually, west ham was the last wasn't it? anyone else feeling like one this season???!
  12. i think when u get the law involved with what happen on a football field it could open the flood gates. admitedly,it was bad.very bad.but the F.A or Fifa should review there rules and allow the incedent to be looked at again after the initial punishement was given.or allow the refs to take advantge of the specsavers sponsership and get a whoops I missed off the "g" eye test!!. unlike if this happened on the street it happened in a game.thatcher could argue he was going for the ball and took his eye off of the ball and that caused him to lamp mendes.im not saying thats what happened, but in a point of law that could be a legitimate reason, where as if it happened on the street or in a pub,it wasnt as part of a game, and would be a lot easier for the CPS to proove in a legal case.
  13. but he played at Rb for feyenoord, where he made his name as an attacking right back, and one the occasion he has played there for rovers,he has notched his second best performance in a rovers shirt. reward emerton for showing a bit of loyalty, where neill hasnt.ok if he goes back to beng same old emerton at rb,as we know from the right wing in the next 2 games then yeah, but i really think after 3 long years we may have found a place for brett
  14. personally i feel brett emerton has offered very little on the right wing, apart from that debut against wolves when he looked like a world beater. but against everton he looked much improved at RB.i think this is his last chance for redemption in my eyes, and should be used there for the legnth of lucas neills ban if not after his ban too.this then opens up the right wing for bentley, who excelled there by all accounts on wednesday night. that then leaves lucas neill.out in the cold i hope.greedy and deluded.the way he 'performed' against pompey the guy should be ashamed.let him have his move to barcelona ac milan .yeah right!.carlsberg dont do pipe dreams, but if they did theyd probably be just like lucas neills!!.
  15. fanzines genrally do make fun of our own players in a fun way,and usually reserve the severe ###### taking for other clubs players, fans etc
