  1. Absolutely stunning performance, the best gig I've ever been too, the mans a legend and 62yrs old, what energy. Hope he does it all again soon. Stone Roses Friday, won't be as good as Bruce, but I'm still looking forward to it.
  2. Clog has gone right downhill over the past 12 months, poor service, dishes with items missing, shame really. As for Jamies in Manchester, not been myself, but work mate has, word that came back, inconsistent, San Carlos any day of the week.
  3. Far to much money involved for them not to play, I hope
  4. Great couple of weeks coming up, Bruce Springsteen next week and The Roses the week after
  5. Great pics Ozz RIP Chris.
  6. I may just do that, Bernard sounds in good voice on the samples.
  7. I was absolutely crackers about New Order back in the 80’s, but can’t seem to raise any enthusiasm these days, not sure why the tunes are classics, maybe need to get a ticket and be pulled back in.
  8. Yes we're going on the Thursday and staying until Monday.
  9. I was in on Sunday, but not to eat, impressions from the service in the bar, give it a month of two, very shaky! Colleague of mine went to Nutters on Saturday night and said as always the food was fantastic. 8 of them with 6 bottles of wine, and drinks beforehand, £120 a couple with the tip, which isn’t bad at all.
  10. The Strickland arms at Sizergh is wonderful, great home cooked food and beer to match, the steak and ale pie is fantastic. Must say I've heard a few bad reports from the Clogg recently, poor service, reduced menu, bringing food out with missing components We've also had 2 bad experiences at The Oyster and Otter, not with the food but with the seating. We rolled up at around 8pm on a Friday night a couple of months back and the restaurant was busy, but they had 4/5 window tables ready but wouldn’t give them to a 3 in case any larger parties of 6 walked in, at 8pm?? We mentioned that they stop serving at 9pm but they wouldn’t have it so we left. 2 weeks later we decided to try them again, same outcome, but the manager realised what was happening and chased us out the door having recognised us from the few weeks earlier, we still left and won’t be going back. To finish on positive note, we've been to Naga at Abbey Village a few times now and the food is great. What I think makes it slightly better than the Indians in Darwen is the food is all cooked to order, on occasions the ones in Darwen pre-heat, but they're still very good.
  11. Going to see Bruce Springsteen in June and the Kendall calling festival in July. As for music at the moment, nothing much of interest really is there?
  12. I've said enough on the subject
  13. Not sticking up for Hendry at all and his situation is different to most... But an IVA for a layman isn't the way to go, if anyone is thinking of taking out such a policy please PM me first, complete rip off in most circumstances, why pay money to a brief when that cash should be paying your creditors???
  14. Judge - How much can you afford to pay Borrower - Please see my income and expenditure form Judge - The borrower can afford to pay a cheque for £5.34 and half a tube of toothpaste Lender - Ok then the law states I cannot claim more than the borrow can realistically afford to pay No need for a solicitor at £50 an hour and taking 5% of the total debt as commission for dealing with the lender! You do the maths
  15. I have nothing to do with debt or debt collectors, solicitors or IVA's, but simply you ignore your creditors and they come after you, you ring them and offer to pay they don’t, why pay thousands to a solicitor to make that call? Lack of knowledge or madness?
  16. Well thats his first mistake taking out an IVA! Why pay a bleedin solicitor to talk to his creditors, they charge thousands for the privilege, when he can ring them himself and cut out the leach? Sad state of affairs indeed.
  17. Yes my feelings exactly, his departure from Ewood left a bad taste in the mouth and his business dealings left a number of people in the mire. Tragic. Wanted to be closer to his parents was the official reason if memory serves me correctly, then found himself back in England not to long after...
  18. Move on bryan, I have
  19. I'm never wrong
  20. Thats not what people said though is it bryan
  21. That would look great on a banner Plastic Head
  22. If they sacked him or he just walked, then maybe he'll be able to talk about it, golden handshake then he won't.
  23. It would be extremely useful for someone to try and get an interview with John Jensen. Whilst I doubt he'll bad mouth anyone, it would give us all some indication as to why he's left the club and an insight, if we need one, into the inner workings of the club currently. Are Venkys telling porkies again?
  24. I have to agree Matty, not sure why Jensen has gone yet, but if he has gone as a result of the 'recent' run of bad form , then the owners have not learnt a thing in the past 12 months.
