You're joking aren't you?

Too many supposedly big players missing for England. Aside from the cross Beckham did nothing and was missing for the entire second half. Heskey, well what do you expect, Gerrard a back pass from that position? Owen anonymous all night. The side lacks creativity, the passing was woeful and the whole side seemed incapable of keeping hold of the ball. The gulf between the French side and England was very significant and really showed the direction the advent of the PL has taken our game. Positives - Campbell and King, Lampard, Rooney. Seem to recall watching a similar scenario last season

Seems to me it would be very valuable if any board members in Portugal could report what they really do see. This would give us all a balanced view of the atmosphere around Euro 2004, lets face it we are NOT going to receive a balanced view from the media in general.

The Observer is reporting Chelsea will make a bid of £50m - fifty - for Steven Gerrard. Personally I'd take the money and run laughing all the way to the bank. Who needs a Thai PM when Abramovich is around? Seems to me Abramovich - who is not my favourite person - needs to begin a serious PR campaign to improve his image. That's assumming he wants to be regarded as anything other than a complete fool with no regard for money, the finer things in life, no style, nor, for that matter, any understanding of football whatsoever. Yet more embarrasmnet being heaped on to Chelsea FC and it's fans. -
lofty2k2, As your PM is full you'll have to have a public warning. Anymore behaviour of this sort will result in you being suspended and your posts subject to admin approval before they appear on the MB. This is the second warning in recent weeks - cut it out or you'll be off the site. Any problems with this you can PM me Paul

Somehow I just knew that was coming

Tom, I can't recall the half ST ever being offered prior to Christmas. Usually early December I think.

When he reaches around 16 or 17 you'll wish you had released him into the wild. Now one important thing. Have you prepared for the big question, the really difficult father to son discussion that's heading your way? This one, unlike the sex thing, you can't leave to his mother, it's far too important. "Dad why can't I support Manchester United?" Doesn't matter what you do it will happen at some point, probably at secondary school, first term. Get ready, it's tough going for a while.
-
Nuclear, experience tells me you have to persevere for 2 or 3 seasons. It works eventually, if you don't the danger is he'll end supporting Utd.

If we can award ourselves goals I forecast a memorable but controversial tournament Looking forward to the tournament as a whole. If England progress I shall get more excited as the team gets closer to the final. I have a horrible feeling what we may see is likely to come from one of these areas, in no particular order: 1. Stuffed by France followed by days of media hysteria on how we might manage to scrape through in second 2. England fail to qualify from the group - cue SGE out, etc etc. 3. "Fans" riot and England are expelled - cue media coverage the like of which we have never seen 4. Were England to be thrown out "fans" devastate a Portugese town - which is probably the only reason UEFA won't risk this sanction Saying that I'm envious of all of you who are travelling and hope you have a fantastic time.

16 to 21. I'm sure about the 16 bit as I have one, less sure about the 21 cut off.

I did mine on-line last year and will almost certainly do so again, even though it's costing me £4.25 for the priviledge. If the system knows your customer number and post code it should have your information on screen. OK, I can access the Rovers site, Rovers World and can log in and be shown as me when I go to book tickets on line. All my details, address, phone, shoe size etc are correct in my account. There is NO option on my account details to enter my customer number details taken from my season ticket. I click "select an event" and get shown 2004/2005 season ticket renewals in the event box with the day being 24th May and the location Ewood Park. From this point I have no further options. I've had this discussion elsewhere, from my view the online booking system simply does not work and clear instructions are lacking. Think I may call the club today.

Renewals online?? Has anyone managed to do this? I've followed the links: Tickets Book on Line Select an Event 2004/2005 Season Renewals After getting to this point I have no further options available to me I'm shown as logged in. Never managed to buy a ticket this way either

ST packs arrived this morning. I'm glad to say these seem to be an improvement on last year. The pack is half the size (cheaper), with the information clearly laid out. The only major change I see is that ST holders no longer receive 10% discount in RTM

I'm not suggesting I'm a better fan than anyone else. I'm pointing out to MCMC, who described me in successive posts as a moron and an idiot, that after 24 years of buying STs I have some idea of how it all works.... If that's a problem, I apologise.
-
15,000 ? PS - never liked that coat, cheers
-
it was..............Now has anyone got my coat out of the taxi
-
Unlikely as MMCMC called me a moron in another thread
-
MCMC1875, could I just mention a few things to you, 1. I am not an idiot. 2. I have held an ST for 24 years, possibly longer than you have been alive. 3. For the past 15 years I have been carting 4 kids, all ST holders, to every home game since they were three. Please treat me with the respect any individual is entitled to. If you can't don't bother to reply to my thoughts.
-
Don't worry Rich, the club can't distribute them within a five mile radius of Ewood let alone Ireland.
-
Nuclear - yep i think you'll have to pay. I didn't spot the * saying renewals only
-
Don't think so slater - under 8's have been free for around 10 years now.

Souey has also been the architect of a home record that 1. Nearly got us relegated 2. Will have convinced thousands that it's not worth buying an ST 3. Will mean that many more fans will think there's no point in buying an ST because not many have been sold 4. Forced the regulars to endure hours of misery between the Wolves win and the Man Utd win 5. Got my kids shouted at most home Saturdays I'm not being negative and I'd agree with the positives you have posted. I'm prepared to give Souness until October/November to sort things out but many are not. This has been the most miserable, unenjoyable and depressing season in a while so Graeme has a greaT deal to do if he is to convoince the doubters. If we are not playing decent winning football by October I hope he leaves. PS - he signed Grabbi so must take repsonsibility for chucking away £7.5m of the clubs money. Ferguson is far from a proven PL player We were every bit as bad as the relegated sides - they BEAT us at home. Leeds, Pompey etc.

Does anyone else think that Jet's "Will you be my Woman" is one of the finest singles for many, many years? seems to me that's how rock music was and should be.

What a superb observation and so, so true.
