He’s doing absolutely nothing wrong. You’ve given an opinion, he’s asked what you’re basing it on. You do the exact same thing all the time on here. I’m unsure why you’re being so defensive (or if it’s just the wording of your post making it read as defensive) but I’m confident there’s no malice in it, so it might be worth changing your tone to avoid causing unnecessary disruption.

I would assume he wants to know what you’re basing your opinion on so he can work out what level of consideration to give your opinion. It really doesn’t need a question.

Experience a big factor still for me - Ayala knows what it takes to win promotion and play Premier League, that’s invaluable. If I currently had to pick a team for the Playoff Final my back 5 would be Nyambe, Lenihan, Ayala, Wharton, Pickering, despite my above ranking. Essentially Wharton gets in for balance above JVH and Ayala and Lenihan ahead of JVH for experience.
