  1. One hell of a brew break is this.
  2. The Liverpool defender surely.
  3. Folks, this is getting totally out of hand now. The last 2 pages have had: arguments with people giving up their time to moderate, accidental (if there's such thing) racism and mocking. So I need to be 100% clear: 1) I wrote the rules, so I know what they are. To be clear: You are allowed to be positive about Rovers here and you are allowed to be negative too. You are allowed an opinion - and we will not be stopping people from posting their opinions whether those opinions are "PNE have a better squad than us, we haven't signed enough players, we're going down" or "I'm positive about the JDT revolution and the future under GB and JDT". We will not be banning anyone for having opinion and we will not accept recommendations from users on who should or who should not be banned. 2) If there's any racism on this board - without question - you will be banned. We must be better than that. If this carries on we will just lock the thread, it makes zero difference to us.
  4. This PNE thing is dull as dishwater, it really is.
  5. He’s playing well, no doubt about it. If I was being critical I would say he’s got a very odd bone structure in his face, especially around his chin, but that has little to no impact on him on the pitch.
  6. I doubt it, if he did a medical today that doesn’t leave much time for the media department to do their stuff. I suspect it’s likely tomorrow, if it’s today it will be a Twitter post with a picture max.
  7. I’m really worried about Dacky, it’s such a shame. Another season without a pre season.
  8. Just placing it on record, whilst I don’t know too much about Brittain, I really rated Nyambe. I thought he was fantastic at right back, a very good right centre back at this level and a good right wing back. So Brittain must be some player to be better than him… and must be on very low wages to be a better financial decision.
  9. www.soccerlord.se you’re welcome.
  10. I’m gonna have to change the thread title here
  11. He’s gonna look fantastic in Boro red.
  12. When Rovers are offering you 20K a week and they’re offering you 45K a week, yes.
  13. I’ll vouch for this - I always take a beer off him!
  14. We need to make a signing for message board harmony at this point if nothing else. I can’t cope with you all going around in circles!
  15. I’ve watched Magloire enough times in the flesh to know he’s useless to us. If we get a pound for him I’ll be impressed.
  16. Is this your opinion, or is your opinion influenced by recent hires in the retail team?
  17. Based on the alleged £300,000 / yr salary and him having a 1 hour meeting with Chaddy, it cost Rovers roughly £150 for the meeting.
  18. Well folks that’s that then, Waggott says everything is going good so we can all stop worrying, ignore the red flags and crack on as normal.
  19. The same rule applies though - let's say Nyambe wants a 4 year contract on 20K a week, thats a 4.16M commitment. For the sake of the discussion, let's say we sign Brittain for 1.5M and 15K a week... thats a 4.62M commitment and I've excluded signing on fees and agent fees. Now I've purposely picked numbers to make Brittain more expensive, but its so tight and I'm not sure theres a better right back defensively in the league than Nyambe.
  20. Do you acknowledge that letting Lenihan leave for free, then needing to replace him to the tune of 3/4 million quid plus 20K+ a week in wages is terrible practise?
  21. To his credit, Waggott will see and speak to most people if you email him. In my opinion part of the problem is he’s speaking to too many of the wrong fans… but obviously that’s because my views are drastically different.
  22. He wasn't academy though, was he? We signed him and he had a good year in U23s then sold him. Similar to McBride?
  23. Good post. Lenihan - successful career, no monetary returns. 6 years of first team action for Rovers - looking at Anel or Davies at 3-4M to replace him... so lets say he's saved us 4M. Travis - successful career, still first team. Reckon you could link him to a similar player that has been sold recently for value? Nyambe - successful career, no monetary returns. Going to cost us a how much do you reckon to replace him? Raya - successful career, 3-5m returns Wharton - very early doors, but certainly a first teamer. If Anel or Davies are 3-4M, whats Wharton? 2M? Mahoney - didn't someone pay a tribunal? Buckley - I know you are, but i'm not yet convinced. Then you've got the next lot, assuming they sign contracts... Wharton, Garrett, Phillips, Batty, Vale.
  24. Genuine discussion point - how much will this cost us and in turn, is it worth it? I know it’s Jack’s legacy but have we turned over anyone recently that we couldn’t have signed for less than the running costs?
