Based on this evenings reports on Duncan McGuire, as a member of We Are The Rovers I would like the senior members of the Trust to put together a vote from the membership to see if there is a mandate to call for the immediate resignation of Steve Waggott and an open letter to both the Owners and Indian Government asking for the club to be sold due to negligence.

I know, I know, he’s gone… but this is giving me a sliver of false hope that Adam is now staying. I know I’m setting myself up for a fall, but I can’t help it. I know it’s just our usual incompetence that causes nothing but misery deep down.
This is bigger than that for me now Duncan.
The OBrien disaster was last season was embarrassing enough - not least the legal case which we didn’t have a leg to stand on.
If we have made a commitment to Orlando and McGuire then as a football club we should honour it. If we’re in the business of giving back word and messing clubs and players around, then truthfully I’m out. I can’t condone that. I’d quit my job if the management behaved like that, so I must honour my own moral compass.
I’ll give them a short period of time too clarify it - I’ll accept Orlando changed the finances or McGuires demands changed. If it comes out that we are at fault, have ‘changed our minds’ or decided we can’t commit the finances, I’ll be arranging a meeting with Waggott, telling him how embarrassed I am at the way he has operated and that I cannot support the club until all those responsible are sacked or leave the club.
“We promise to honour Jack Walker's legacy” - incredible.

Did you hear this from someone reliable who isn't Tom Bogert? And did you hear why?
No, I took it from Bogert’s X account.

Morally fucking bankrupt if we have changed targets whilst the poor lad is on a fucking transatlantic flight.

We’ve chased McGuire all summer. We’ve convinced him to join us over Sheff Wednesday. We’ve put him on a transatlantic flight then changed our minds mid flight?
What is wrong with this football club? Where are our standards? This is not how we should operate, it is embarrassing.

Gamst Jones chatting shit as usual?
You’d assume so, given it’s all he’s done since he started that account. But god only knows considering how we fucked up last January.

I can’t see how anyone can be looking at our squad without Adam and saying we don’t need a centre midfielder. I think it might even be more important than a striker at this point.

Probably on loan, probably a big loan fee, won’t break them into the top six.
I don’t know about you, but I’m sick of paying money to loan players, I’d rather we held off until summer and spent our money on players that are actually ours.

The problem with the above is that if GB muffs up the recruitment again it's unlikely anyone will sack him and he definitely won't walk.
Then the fans should put pressure on him to be sacked. The reality is we can’t judge him if we don’t give him any tools to do his job. He’s currently trying to build a football team with an ongoing excuse of financial difficulties in the background.

Here’s where I stand.
22M guaranteed is a lot of money. It’s our record sale.
Adam’s the best player we will produce in a long, long time. But the squad needs investment, we have three or four key positions which need strengthening and we don’t have the funds to do that without selling Adam. Selling a homegrown player for 22M means there cannot be any argument with FFP for years to come. Venkys and Waggott, your excuse is now null and void.
This is the “model” which we have been told the club will run by. Buy cheap — or develop internally — and sell at the best point for the club.
So Gregg, here’s your chance. Your job is on the line. We need a goal scoring striker, a winger, a playmaker central midfielder and an experienced centre back. If you fail to get them, then you should be sacked for negligence. If the owners do not give you the money to do your job then you need to walk as it won’t get better than this.
Jon, this is your chance too. If you get the four first team players needed and the problems we’ve been having continue then you’re not up to the job either.
Adam, good luck and thank you for everything. I’m excited to watch you play in the Premier League, for England and one day finish your career back home. The next 18 months are the most important in the clubs recent history.

What does that even mean? Why would it be down to Waggott "releasing funds?"
The owners will either make some funds available or not.
Waggott and Suhail control the money. Venkys put a set amount in every season and then those two decide how it’s spent.

Rovers and Palace have all agreed the move. 22M +.

Anything on this, or more an inkling?
An inkling. The magic number is 25M and they’re at 22M. They’ve this morning signed a right back and a striker, so Adam will be their priority.
