Is this your way of saying that Sammie wanted to be anywhere else but at that meeting?! His body language certainly looks like it.
I mean, we’ll let him off given he’s our only decent player now.
Not at all, it’s one moment from a 2 hour meeting on a camera he (like the rest of us) had no idea was recording.

was he one of the "senior players" at the meet? @J*B
Yep, he was.
Funny story, I originally hide this image when it was posted here, but it has since been posted elsewhere so I’m happy to upload it now. This was sent to me as a tip by a friend and was taken by the staff at the hotel, who thought it was the ‘new manager meeting the players’. Turns out it was the supporters meeting and I was actually in the meeting!
Ryan seemed nice enough, Dom Hyam and Sam Gallagher were certainly most engaged. Although I did enjoy Aynsley Pears asking our CEO why we don’t just reduce the cost of tickets if they’re unaffordable.

It appears that as a fanbase we still cant agree on a joint course of action/protest against our hated Owners and their Puppets. Are any supporter groups prepared to take the lead, where are you?
Personally find it soul destroying...what chance have we got?
This will always be the biggest issue. Unless someone can lead it and lead it well, it will be limited to spontaneous reactionary protest. Say what you want about the Action Group, but they’re the only ones that where capable of it.

Some folk think he needs a loan out to league 1.. would appreciate your thoughts?
I think a league one loan would be superb for him if he played most games. More than that, I worry about his brother on social media criticising every time Jake isn’t on the pitch. I hope Jake doesn’t have the same ultra high opinion of himself and can ignore that external noise, because he isn’t all that at all and has a lot to work on.

I like the occasional wild prediction, so here’s that… Eustace will keep us up, but generally be considered a failure here.

I actually have more confidence in Garrett than Buckley right now, especially in a relegation fight. At least he doesn't go missing.
Funny old game - I think Garrett is miles off being ready. Buckley is a far superior player.

Any news on Silvester leaving? if he is going would Sarah Logan replace him?
No idea about Silvester other than what I said in that meeting: There’s no accountability at this football club, things happen without any repercussion. Someone has to be held responsible for the way we treated McGuire and the errors from the club.

I don’t think Gregg is going based on what the staff in the lounges were saying against Stoke.

Anyone else having issues with the site keep signing you out?
I didn't have the 502 error, but today, the site signs me out after clicking on 2 or 3 pages. I've cleared the cookies as per the instructions above (just in case it was related), but it hasn't helped.
@Herbie6590 @StubbsUK - anyone else reported this, or do you have any ideas?
We’re investigating it literally as we speak - I can see both the above going through it on our internal chat!

McFadzean is 37 this month and hadnt played for months yet is now likely to play a third game in 8 days. Just making it up as we go along to justify the managers decisions.
Play Fleck and bring on Buckley for him, either 60 mins and 30 mins or half each. No Garrett.
Good point, I’d take 60 mins from both of them.

Yep, will have both of those.

Bucko in for Garrett
Not without any match fitness, although I agree and hopefully sooner rather than later.
Pears
Hyam McFaz ORoirdon
Brittain Tronstad Garrett Christene
Szmodics
Gally Dolan
The sooner Garrett is out that team the better, but right now there’s not many other options.

Court case against the owners won’t have been finalised by then, limited budget.

I'm seeing it on here and being supported by his offer to leave last summer but omitting that following that he stayed and moved his family over.
It's just one example of history bring rewritten to suit agenda.
More will come.
Same will happen with GB. He's not spoken publically since the window closed, sent a personal message to JDT and looks like he had nothing to do with getting Eustace recruited.
He has, along with Swag, Suhail and IS, messed up another window and I think his days are numbered and he's alone in the corner until they find his replacement.
Meanwhile Stalin Swag continues his purge.
I don’t see a world where GB is still involved by Birmingham at home. Too many signs that he’s no longer involved.

I’m pretty convinced if you let Big Sam make all the decisions for 3 years you end up in the Prem.

I was there - got the phone call last night. Not really sure why me specifically, it wasn’t specifically through BRFCS. But I thought it’s better to be there than not, so I went down.
Basically what Glen has tweeted was how the meeting went. It was an informal chat with the players then Waggott. There’s no minutes.
The general discussion was the players mentioning the atmosphere at home games and specifically the end of the QPR match and during another match (they couldn’t remember which) where they were boo’d off at half time. They said the senior players spent half time keeping the younger players in the rate state of mind and that’s not the best use of time.
I made it abundantly clear to all the players that any booing is directly at one of Venkys, Pasha and Waggott or JDT. Szmodics especially said “we’re open to criticism, we were shit against Huddersfield and we know it”.
I also explained to the players that unfortunately this club has had ‘ownership issues’ for 14 years now and whilst the last five years have been relatively stable, until the issues with ownership and senior management are addressed it’s only ever a stubbed toe away from discontent amongst the fan base.
The players also asked how we could get more fans in the stadium at Ewood. I explained to them the issues with ticket pricing and season ticket pricing — which I described as “abhorrent” — and the horrific deprivation in the local area meaning that fans would love to go but frankly have to pick between eating and heating, meaning there’s little spare money and not enough to be spending on tickets.
There was further discussions which everyone in the room agreed to not disclose at this point. I gave my word - as did everyone else - so I’ll honour that.
Thought it was worth circling back round to this given the way the thread has developed.
This recap from RoversChat essentially breaks down the what was and wasn’t discussed elements.
As per my original post, I spoke about the ownership issues, explained to the players it wasn’t them being targeted by boos it was Suhail, Waggott and Venkys and talked them through the finances involved in going to Ewood which I described as abhorrent considering the poverty and deprivation in our town.
As Dan says anything more specific wasn’t discussed.

Article as follows:
Blackburn boss Jon Dahl Tomasson is strongly in the frame for the Sweden national job.
Tomasson is keen to leave Rovees after a difficult run and their failure to land targets and the Swedish job appeals.
The Swedes admire Tomasson from his successful spell with Malmo and they would hire him if they could.
However Blackburn and Tomasson have yet to split and the way it is handled will cause a problem to solve.
Tomasson hs revealed he would walk away with nothing but Rovers previously stopped that because they wanted compensation if he took another job.
That figure is large but Blackburn could come to a compromise in the next few days.
I am told the Swedish FA want Tomasson to be a free agent and that is central to his departure and next job.
The alternative for the Swedish job is Jens Gustafsson who is currently working in Poland, but Tomasson seems to be first choice.
Blackburn have already been drawing up a list of possible candidates who could step in as they try to avoid being sucked into the relegation fight in the Championship.
In that case ignore what I said because @RoversClitheroe had given dud info, unless it can be tracked back elsewhere.

Will Benson and Lowe follow them?
@Craigman based on this.

JDT to Eustace is a downgrade. ‘Happy’ with the appointment purely because it isn’t Stuart McCall. Every day shows show far we’ve fallen. We all know Benson and Lowe will remain.
Agree with all of this.

It’s impossible to predict but my head tells me a motivated JDT that hasn’t been lied to about the project and hasn’t uprooted his family and travelled them to another country gets a lot more than 2 points from PNE, Cardiff and Norwich. At the same time the JDT we ended up with that had lost the dressing room, was pissed off at the management with an upset family at home probably doesn’t get 2 points from those 9.
Which in reality just compounds the issue further. All they had to do was do as they promised and in my opinion JDT would have been the best manager since Allardyce, but they fucked it up.
