  1. Rovers are among the sides to have looked at non-league hot shot Ruben Rodrigues. The Notts County attacker has been in fine form for the National League side with seven goals in 15 appearances and has caught the eye of a number of EFL sides. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19722398.blackburn-rovers-monitoring-progress-non-league-hotshot-rodrigues/ Toulouse's striker Rhys Healey could be January target as we have interest in him last summer https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1104415169?-11198:839
  2. Well I don't know about the cut off point but they keep putting the money in up to yet
  3. Rothwell's move to Rangers looks off now Gerrard has moved on. Have you seen @Paul Mani's comments after his chat with Waggott?
  4. Maybe Farke is a better choice but surely they want to stay up and want to try their best in staying up.
  5. Maybe some day they will sell the club but they keep pumping the money in and I don't see them selling anytime soon since they recently bought the senior training ground. It appears they are happy to keep funding the club
  6. Wharton is already part of the squad so Lenihan needs replacing and thats why Rovers scouting team have been looking at Hearts centre back John Souttar. How is Dack or JRC a replacement for the striker Brereton? Pike is fine as back up right back but we need a new first choice right back
  7. Jack Walker was a Rovers fan. Did you forget that? I would like any new owner to have some connection to the club. But there is alot more I would know about his background, does he owned sports teams/clubs or has done in the past, financial background, how are funding the club? are they using their own money or borrowing it? plus alot more questions aswel why would Venkys put the club into administration when most of debt is owned to them plus they lose control of club which they wouldn't do.
  8. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19715966.blackburn-rovers-pushing-accelerate-development-under-18s/
  9. Does it matter about other clubs? Its all depends on the price that Venkys want and who would be interest in buying the club then. All depends on their business background why are they buying Rovers? are they a Blackburn Rovers supporter? do they have the finance to fund the club from their own money and not borrowed money to buy the club like some takeovers are done?
  10. I would say we need both tbh depending on the finances and squad places available. Plus who is sold in January if anyone need replacing. I suspect Nyambe and Rothwell will sign new contracts here shortly but Lenihan I suspect will be sold in January and I would hope we sign John Souttar from Hearts
  11. Yes alot of clubs have changed hands since then but we were very attractive club back then. Maybe Walkers family should have waited before selling us.
  12. very experience head coach and thats what Norwich want and need, Farke isn't good enough in the PL and it was right decision to get rid of him. Smith did a very good job at Brentford and Villa, Allardyce's days of managing clubs has gone nowadays. After retired from football after leaving Palace is where he should have stay and not gone back into management in my opinion.
  13. For me, I've seen him in both of your games and I wouldn't be looking to sign him. Not a main striker and thats what I think we need Yes he is decent player
  14. Why was 4,791 a poor show please Darren? Rovers should be special offer for those games like those 2 games for 20/25 pounds for adults.
  15. Rovers would need an owner with a lot of money and proper plan to get fans back within the ground quickly. But Rovers were struggling to be sold off by the Walker's family for years when we were PL club. So what proper interest would they been now and what would they bring to the table. Former Portsmouth owner Milan Mandaric bought the club then before selling to the current owners who have been fantastic for the club, supporters and the local area. Also I don't see Venkys putting us in adminstration as they would get nothing back from the club. Plus
  16. Some people are still at University at the age at 23/24 and beyond. Some people take a couple of years out before resuming their education. Maybe but different people have different requirements/situations/working hours and shift. Plenty of different situations and hard to find a solution to Cos people don't always make the right decisions between 16-21 about their career choice. I give you an example here of a couple between that age bracket I know where one person working days shift Monday to Friday whilst the other person stays at home with the children and she goes College at Evening twice a week and work part time at weekends.
  17. Thanks for a very detailed response and I agree with most of the post. I'm not over concerned about the formation as many of our players are playing 3 in the back system and are experience players. if I'm playing 3-4-3 then my team would be Pickford/ Walker Stones Maguire/ James Mount Rice Chilwell/Foden Kane Sterling in a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 formation Pickford/ James Stones Maguire Chilwell/Mount Rice Bellingham/Foden Kane Sterling. I agree we have plenty of talent coming through at the minute so plenty of competitive for the squad and the starting eleven
  18. I guess with them going to college or University then having part time jobs at weekends is why we see such a drop off
  19. You do seem very judgement and quick to jump. When I looked at the team I see 5 attacking players cos their wing backs are attacking and playing in their club positions. Philips and Henderson kept pressing their players and winning the ball back high. Can I ask how you who you would select and formation please? Well we never know will we but we know the team Southgate picked battered them I was asking your reasons why you make such a comment. I didn't see the team or the first 20 mins cos I was watching F1 qualifying instead. Correct but I want Rovers to play their best and give there all plus play to proper plan(not this false 9 rubbish). My point about those managers if they tried to play more attacking football and Hughton lack of plan B they might have got a better result and still be in job. I was meaning of a neutral of watching a game.
  20. I agree. £20 per game with the odd £15 for games like Blackpool and Preston would be the way to go. Plus kids under 12 a pound a game. Get them hook at that age is key
  21. Not really as most England's qualifiers as us again less quality nations. Do you not prefer a open game where both teams are trying to win the game like West ham Liverpool game Had those managers tried to play abit more attacking or a different formation in Hughton case maybe they got better results and kept their jobs.
  22. Why did you complain over the team selection before the game? The formation worked perfectly and Wing backs of James and Chilwell played the same way as they do for their club team.
  23. Looks like Dean Smith is going there as head coach and Shakespeare as number 2 according to the Athletic online. Smith needs to get Billy Gilmour into that team and playing in his correct role. Him and Normann in centre midfield with Cantwell in the 10 role is the way I would play. Not sure on the Everton situation but given the injuries problems there guess you got to give Benitez the season.
  24. But 4 nil up after 33 minutes. Not bad for boring 🤔
