Mowbray, the summer and beyond
chaddyrovers replied to TheRovers1994's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
We spend 1.2 million on signings this season on 3 players plus we made bids for other players. So there is money there. Plus if you look at Suggestions I have look at players 25 years old and under who will be entering their peak of the careers whilst here and players we can improving into better players and maybe even sell on or 2. On FFP, without Venkys buying the training ground we have been on transfer restrictions last summer but the Armstrong's money will cover this season losses or most of them. Also Why can't we afford Gyokeres from Coventry? How much do you think he is worth? -

It was deffo penalty all day long. Even TV replays show that Bristol City pull him to the ground Ward's performance as a Referee was embarrassing at best. If you want to defend that then fair enough. -

Well Dack wanted it and he took it. If you have said who should it when given it My first choice would be Dack and it would be again -
Thankyou for reply and answering the question. I watched Lowe during the players shooting in the warm up and he was awful with his touch. I did say a few months that Mowbray should have change his backroom team and move Johnson into the number 2 role and Barr should have made first team coach after last season disappointing season I think Johnson will be candidate tom replace Mowbray in the summer if he does leave

same again, You haven't look at the post I have reply to. You are trying to play the man and not the ball as the phrase is. Yet again, I haven't told anyone when or whether they should attend or even how many times. So why the hell are you going on about that for I have zero idea -

You always focus on Venkys far too much. Mowbray had a budget and given the FFP requirements we are under he did the business he did for the season in the 2 windows. That threshold has been lifted FFP wise. Plus I have already said in the post that Brereton is likely to sold for around 20 million pounds or so. So they will be some money there to spend hopefully and what I have based my post on! Why can't we afford Gyokeres from Coventry? How much do you think he is worth? -

If you honestly think that referee performance was nothing be shocking then you must be watching a different game. He was awful and the Rovers fans told him so. How was that not a penalty when the Bristol City defender pull him to the ground which I clearly? -

I haven't told anyone what do with their free time and money? maybe look again at the post again instead of posting what you did when I never mention money, free time, etc -
Like I said earlier Andy, I am fully aware of the stats in recent games and weeks. We will have to agree to disagree on Mowbray and whether we need a new manager right now. I don't. I don't think the players need a new voice at all. They are performing for him. any suggestions who this new manager should be replace with? @Miller11Similar question to you who would you appoint as Mowbray's replacement since you want a change of manager after yesterday's defeat? Not interested in Who Venkys used in hiring our manager but the question is who you would appoint.

If we don;t get promote then I think Brereton, Nyambe and Rothwell will leave here and not sign new long term contract. Rovers will invoke the 12 months club option to extend Brereton contract then sell him. I seen Brighton, Everton, West Ham all linked with him recently. I think Lenihan will sign a new contract if we make the playoffs or come close to them so I have included him in my squad list So lets look at the potential squad if do get promote GKs - Kaminski, Pears, Eastham Defs - Lenihan, Ayala, Wharton, Carter, Pickering, Edun, Brown, JRC, Philips mids - Travis, Buckley, Garrett atts - Dack, Gallagher, Dolan, Hedges, Markanday I have read this weekend that Khadra would be open to staying here and signing for us permanent. I would look at Brighton for them to included both Khadra and Van Hecke in the deal for Brereton. So 15 million plus those 2 and I would agree to sell him. Then I think we need right back/wing back, Centre back if we sign Van Hecke 3 centre midfielders, wide player and striker. I would be looking at playing 4-2-3-1 formation with Dack in the 10 role and fully fit next season. So here are few suggestions for potential summer transfer window signings Right back/wing back 1. Callum Brittain from Barnsley. always impressed me every time I've seen him play and Would offer us more attacking intent from the right back/wing back. I think 1 to 1.5 million should be enough to secure him. 2. James Bree from Luton. Out of contract I believe. So wouldn't a transfer fee and we should be able to offer more wages than Luton Centre back 1. Jake Clarke-Salter. 24 years old. Playing on loan at Coventry from Chelsea where his contract ends this summer. 2. Elliott Moore. 24 Years old. Out of contract in the summer. Playing Oxford in league this summer. Team Captain there. Centre midfielder 1. Callum Styles. Barnsley midfielder. Another player who has impress me when I have seen him. He is left foot and we bid for him in January for him of 1.5 million. 2. Cameron Brannagan. Played for Oxford. Scored 12 goals this season. So hopefully could be a goalscoring midfielder we have lack since David Dunn days here. 3. Matty Longstaff. On loan at Mansfield from Newcastle. He has Played PL football and I think would be good signing here. Striker 1. Shayne Lavery. Forward from Blackpool. Scored 8 goals this season in 28 appearances. 2. Viktor Gyokeres. Striker from Coventry. Scored 13 goals this season in 35 appearances 3. Ryan Hardie. Striker from Plymouth. Scored 14 goals in 31 appearances this season in league 1. -

England drew the 1st test. only seen brief highlights but the wicket look abit flat. Did watch some of the Pakistan vs Australia test match this morning and Khawaja played an excellent inning

Well we have to agree to disagree on this I'm fully aware of the stats in recent games and weeks. Like I said they would been plenty of twists and turns before the season ends. Did anyone not think Sheffield United would win yesterday but they didn't and they seem to have players out at the minute if you look at yesterday squad that was named by them. Boro drew with Millwall. Forest are scoring goals but not in the playoffs places yet and will their FA cup run get in way. Luton and QPR are playing right now

I think Dack was being really careful what he did and didn't over commit ever Dack wanted to take and Lenihan make sure that no-one else was taking it. Plus Dack would be our first choice penalty taker anyway if fit. The penalty should have been retake by Dack given that the Ref knows that both set of players was within the area. -

Here is Stephen Glass who was manager of Aberdeen when Hedges move here blaming his agent. https://www.nottheoldfirm.com/news/aberdeen-boss-takes-aim-at-ryan-hedges-agent-over-transfer-agenda/

Hedges's agent is CAA Base LTD. Darren Mowbray works for Aberdeen in a recruitment role.

Well my opinion as I posted earlier was a positive move by Mowbray that led us to having more attacking intent on the pitch and good to see him changing formation and moving Gallagher into the 10 role. Unbalanced? well if he going out there then Mowbray is staying for next season an beyond unless he walk away from the job. They might get better financial offer but are they going to be regular at the club. Just look at Rhodes since he left Rovers or Gestede or Marshall. have they made a major impact in their career since leaving Rovers? not really The question I asked was a simple one, Who would you bring in to replace Mowbray since you are in favour of a managerial change? Not interested who Venkys used to bring the manager in the question I asked of yourself. Also you are wrong on your point I don't think any of our players can do better than our club so please don't put words in my mouth. Maybe we can do better than Mowbray but he is the only manager who has in top 6 at this stage of the season since our relegation from PL.
