Because we've never had a decent manager. The only one who I thought could make it happen was lambert and he walked after being lied to. Even bowyer got us in playoff contention in more than one season. Mowbray has only managed to do it this season and it will probably fail. Hell, even kean left us in the playoff positions although that was only after a few games. I don't think Mowbray will even leave us top 6. Like u said gav about venkys they won't appoint a decent manager as they want someone who will just bow down to them. Yes until venkys have gone, rovers will never be a proper club again. Wow best post on here for a long time. I too went on the marches as did a dear friend of mine who sadly passed away 2 years ago. I spoke to u a few times. Spending our free time on a Friday night, freezing our balls off outside Ewood, getting up Sunday morning to march to Ewood. I will never forgive venkys for what they've done. Turned an established epl club into a basket case. Never forgive never forget. I stopped attending Ewood after many years of going because I was sick of the apathy of the fan base regarding the 'ownership'. I hope to be back one day once venkys have left the building.

So when do u fit them in. There's 2 or 3 playoffs which would either have to be played now or in April as there's nations league in June so may would be too close. Plus in May there will be champions league final etc. These Friendlies have to coincide with competitive games

Not pointless. Its a big year with nations league plus a world cup. This is the only chance to experiment. Plus teams have to play friendlies when there's competitive games going on as it affects coefficient.
