  1. yes i definately think that the 2008 version will and if not, should have new team talks etc etc and give us the ability to give specific instructions to any given player we choose.
  2. does anybody know if it is possible, to refresh or change the comments for the pre-match and half time team talks??
  3. I too am over the moon that nelly has signed a long term contract. he has been a rock at the heart of our defence since he signed and now this long term deal will more than likely see him to the end of his professional career, before he retires back to minnesota with his wife. well done the club and nelly...well done
  4. ok, i am biting the bullett and going to see Zodiac, tomorrow night.
  5. i came across this website, that has these (apparently) non fictional names that come striaght from a phone book, in the good ol u,s of a. some of these are absolute class.... http://www.funnyname.com/
  6. was reading an interesting article with johnny depp, that was printed even before filming for the 3rd episode began. he says that he would love to keep the charachter going. and as a ispeak plans are afoot to produce a 4th installment. exactly what the storyline will be, i can't think because unlike the first 3, the 4th would have to be a completely differnt story and plot. reading an interview with bob gale last night about back to the future and although he said that he would love to bring it back, it will not happen because of the ill health of michael j fox. with this particular series i think there is defninately scope for a 4th episode.
  7. ok, i have got my tunes totally mixed up. that one by mark knopfler was not the one i am after but still a cracking tune. ithink i am buggered because i only know the tune by sound...so i guess i will have to hope that i hear it again.
  8. i want to know the name of the tune that is always played at st james park on matchdays?? anyone help!!
  9. will be interesting to see what noises will be coming from the club about this in the coming days and wether or not sparky will have benni into his office to get his side of the story. however, the fact that he has been quoted as saying things is extremely dissapointing and if indeed he wants out of the club in the summer, would be a body blow!!
  10. that does not work either kamy. when i click on the link it asks me for my user name and password to log in, and when i type them in it says there is an error...so (Please don't use that word again) it, i am just gonna go with trial and error and hope that everything works out.
  11. NO, PLEASE NO!! i have just had a very nice conversation with a swedish girl, to make me grin like a cheshire cat and then i come on here, and now reading this and being told by my mate in blackburn....it is like being hit with a ###### brick!!! i know that sparky is very rarely wrong...but 99% of rovers fans if you asked them would say that we don't want nonda at rovers anymore.
  12. thanks kamy mate, but that didn't help at all. is anybody on this thread a member of the SI games website where they have the forum on tactics and training??
  13. somebody help, please. on here ages ago there was a post with a link to a tactics and training page/post. i have tried to find it again but can't!!
  14. i find matt damon to be a very fine actor, who can pull off almost any charachter. i very much enjoyed the first 2 of the bourne trilogy and now i am looking forward to seeing the final installment.
  15. i don't know if anybody else is interested in a movie called 'Zodiac"....based on the serial killer that terrorised southern california in the late sixties and 70's. i have seen countless documentaries on this muppett, and the one thing that (for me) makes going to see this movie pointless, is the fact that he has NEVER EVER been caught. for all those who know about him, we all know about the artifacts and all that stuff. i just think it is a complete waste of time, to make a movie about a guy that everybody knows was never caught, and also taht we have seen all the documentaries pertaining to him and all the so called eveidence etc etc. anybody else??
  16. jan, whilst i don't have a problem with you, it does seem that you are incapable of having a discussion about what tris said and debating the points that he makes no matter how outlandish. it seems that 99% of your posts are based on waiting for an opportune moment, to make an attack on somebody...because your brain and lack of cells, don't permit you to have serious discussions about football. that aint your fault, i guess because they say talent skips a generation....so i guess your kids are gonna be sharp as tacks. tris - my goodness, are you willing to take back all of that post and give credit where credit is due, because yesterday, if ever there was proof that dunny is at peak fitness...then we all saw it before our eyes. he was marvellous!!
  17. trueblue, i disagree with your notion that downing is useless. as bazza said in an earlier post, it is about tactics and desire. for me it is totally tactics and mclaren has no ###### clue. downing wide left, with lennon wide right, then half way through the first half this morning lennon comes over, and downing goes central, i mean come on....for (Please don't use that word again) sake, what is that all about. secondly, hargreaves and gerrard....when our cenre halfs have the ball and are looking for somebody to lay it off to....both gerrard and hargreaves are sitting there infront of the back four. rooney (get him the (Please don't use that word again) out of the england side) and johnson are totally still with no movement down the channels at all. the sooner we get somebody to manage our country whom appears to have tactical nouse, and at least looks like he is trying to pick the opposition aprt...the better, cause at the moment we are totally void of everything. hoping for a goal in the 2nd half, cause 1 will win it for us.
  18. as i sit here thinking about the game 2 days ago, and after having watched it live on tv....i am still at a loss to except the decisions and get on with it. as i have said, maybe in this thread in the past or in other threads....when are refs and linesmen going to be held totally accountable for absolutely blatent (Please don't use that word again) ups....as we all saw on saturday evening?? it is ok for these two to get up for work the following morning and have nobody to answer to, but what about the players and the manager, whom at the end of the day are all held accountable and must answer to somebody. i am convinced that this has cost us a shot at the top 6 now. there is simply too much at stake for goal line techonology not to be brought in!!
  19. thankyou tuges, much appreciated...git he is a very menacing look. when i was a lad i used to hide behind the sofa, and peak out from the edge to look then ###### myself again and hide some more.
  20. a few weeks ago i made the mistake of telling my mother about the hulk, now i have dvd's, videos etc etc sitting on my table, even though i am now 31 years old i still (only sometimes) can't watch some of the scenes where he changes....lol the pilot episode is great!!
  21. totally agree mate. he is an integral part of our end of season push. if he goes and gets injured then sparky would be livid. he is far more important to club than what he is to his country.
  22. ARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! (Please don't use that word again)ing john williams, you ######. i bought theo walcott from arsenal and had him for 2 seasons. he agreed and sifned a new 5 year contract stating that he was extremely happy to be at the club...then transfer window time and man utd offer 53M quid for him. it does not give me the option to except or reject because john williams excepted on my behalf saying that the offer was too good to refuse. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
  23. abbey, i was reading that link and what (Please don't use that word again) face had to say on it, and i am sitting here still laughing at what she is pratting on about. it is plainly obvious that this (Please don't use that word again)in @#/? has absolutely no idea about football. if vinjay is reading this column, which i suppose she is, then i am wondering if this (Please don't use that word again)er has ever been to see rovers play on the continent?>? it is all well and good, talking (Please don't use that word again)ing ######, but come up with a solution (not that one is needed) you (Please don't use that word again)ing numpty. by the sounds of it, she is not happy about rovers playing against some of the best teams that europe has to offer and beating them. albeit it aint the champs league, but that is some way off for us, but the next best thing is brilliant for us at this stage of the current regime. just for the record, not a single goal conceded at home in this season euro games for us. abbey, i would happily engage in conversation with vinjay too!!
