  1. No way the comp would be 250k. It will be nothing like his true value, but would expect it closer to 1mill + bonuses. If he has decided on Spurs there is also a decent chance they'll try to buy him now. Obvious that the club won't invest much in him if he is to leave at the end of the season. However let's wait until anything is official before starting any mayhem. And his poor mum should be left alone on twitter
  2. Thought it was common knowledge that the price dynamics changes as you close in on deadline day. Esp. for players with 1 year left of contract and not resigning. Some clubs will lower asking price to get rid. Ryan Manning from QPR to Swanse a good example of that last year. Venky's probably one of the few that won't budge on price. Similar the price will increase for players clubs doesn't want to get rid the window. You'll also see players get available on loan late in the window. Both players that club wasn't able to sell or youngsters being considered for the first team in pre-season.
  3. If anymore comfort, even Waggott knows we need more players: In terms of incomings, Waggott said it could take until the end of the window for Rovers to complete their business. Speaking ahead of the signing of Callum Brittain, Waggott said the club ‘probably needed to sign four or five new players in the current transfer window’.
  4. 100% certain Buckley fits the role of Rothwell. It's where he played most of his football for the U23. Think this could be his breakout season. He is the best passer in the club, and is now able to cope with the physical part, that he struggled with in his first season
  5. No way JPVH is 8 figures. Brighton just sold Østigaard to Napoli for a reported fee of 4.2 It's a good comparison because they are very similar. Both 1 year left, same position, about same age. Østigaard would be more expensive since he has several succesful loan spells (Germany, Championship, Serie A) as well being a full international and rated the best player of Norway four matches in June. 3 mill area sounds right for Van Hecke. I think we overrate the interest and value in him.
  6. Delap? Think Soton just had a 11 mill bid rejected.
  7. Pretty sure he came on as a sub vs Dundee. I'm a big fan of Burns, but not as much as putting him infront of Dolan and Vale. I would rather ask the question why Leonard has been preferred over Burns.
  8. Yes, but as a sixth choice centre-back. Was unused sub behind the 5 other centre-backs
  9. Not sure he's going to get a look in at Brighton. When they played Reading on Saturday, Dunk and Veltman started. Webster, Matt Clark and Shane Duffy all came, while Van Heck was unused sub.
  10. I've done some checking, seems like all are referring to the same article, which claims Ismael want Styles and Besiktas is about to submit a 2.5 mill Euro bid this week.
  11. Same here. Markandy has quick feet and accelration on short bursts. Not sure if he has the speed over 40 yards as Armstrong. In fact I think Gally and Breo might beat him over longer distances.
  12. Vale is pretty quick. Not electric like Armstrong, but faster than most centre halfs. He's a well rounded Striker with good balance, awareness and skill. I've liked him for years. His downfall has been that he is not natural confident, and his form has suffered in spells. However reported to have matured a lot from his Last loan spell. Came back in January as a new man and his Great form for U23 has translated into pre season.
  13. Carter was my MOM. Looks more poweful after his loan. A couple excellent cross field balls as well. Dolan still lacks awareness.
  14. Any suggestions yourself? The whole Championship is looking for strikers, and the good ones are already taken.
  15. Whatever anybody think of Gallagher, we need a replacement in before thinking of selling him. Our big problem is being able to get a decent replacement for strikers. We didn't manage it with Armstrong and with Breo possible leaving it will very hard. The only decent option I can think that is realistic of is Adebayo of Luton. Would be expensive, but we probably can afford wages since Luton pays a lot less than us.
  16. Probably time to extend his contract. Only has 1 year left.
  17. They seemed impressed by this "McAndree". Saying he's been our best player and someone rovers fan can be excited about.
  18. Think it's pretty clear that Chaddy is our new recruitment chief. Him going quiet and making a move for Brittain the next day is easy math 🙂
  19. They both signed new contracts last year untill 2024 (plus one-year option) so effectively have 3 years left.
  20. There are few others that haven't made an impact but sold like (just the top of my head) Jack O'Connell Andy Fisher Callum Wright
  21. Only those two? I'd imagine the full set of top clubs to be all over this.
  22. We would get a fee for Phillips, but it would be laughable compared to his value under contract.
  23. Think Phillips agent is Gareth Seddon, which might not be the worst thing. Think he's representing several of our players like Dolan and should have decent relationship with the club.
  24. Not sure if I agree. The only advantage we have is a clearer path to first team football. The manager praising the player publicly would serve as a sign that you'll be progressed. Would also serve as proof in a tribunal if Phillips chooses money and goes. The big boys have full control over the talent pool at that level anyway, so can't imagine it having any great impact.
  25. Think Phillips agent is Gareth Seddon, who also seem to represent Dolan. Hopefully just looking for a better deal than was originally agreed given Phillips status has been raised.
