  1. I have seen way to many clubs struggling because they splash out cash on signings and inflating wages. I like that we are taking a conservative approach, buying cheapish with potential sale-on instead.
  2. The only reason we are not better off would be because we just sold a superstar and those things are expected (Wharton) we need to rebuild, bring new talents, develop. I like the route we are going with the foreign market with lots of upsides and the astute signings with solid championship experience (cheapish). Both of these really important to keep the wages down on a consistent level.
  3. Agree. And to be honest the fair comparison would be xMin (minutes played) vs Expected mins (squad status) As I say see it we haven’t replaced Wahlstedt (however I think new cones have been bought) Neither of the other had any impact what so ever. We have replaced Gally, Garrett on loan is a strange one, but probably replacement in the loan market, such as Morton, Ayari ++. Other on that list isn’t really worth replacing. Rather give the youngsters some valuable playing time to further development.
  4. If you take Fleck out, we can at least take Trav in.
  5. This is utter nonsense. Gueye actually has a record from the top Belgian league on par with Mitchy Batschuayi and better than Eidur Gudjohnsen and that for relegated team.
  6. Will it be either Gueye or Ohashi starting? Hard to accommodate both? Weimann could’ve replaced both Dolan and Siggy?
  7. What about Ohashi? Bucko? Markanday?
  8. Cheers Paul. Wonder if anyone is going to show any interest in Siggy?
  9. Lots can happen yet. Spurs among others are after a striker which can create a domino.
  10. I agree. He has had a good preseason. Deserves his last chance saloon.
  11. He had the armband and I think he is very important back/competition to TnT
  12. Lots of excitement with todays squad: Szmodics, Siggy, Hyam any surprises?
  13. We can’t deny that we are signing one Oldies, however what separates our oldies from other is consistency and none of them have been on the treatment table. Ayala and Dack and even Gally was injury prone.
  14. Embarrassed. Sorry forgot about him. Think he actually can work well under JE. One pass to Buckley who comes down to collect and he threads it to the wingers or infield. Might suit him better than JDT ball.
  15. I think our midfield options (defensive) will be Tronstad - Trav - JRC. We can’t afford to get rid of both Trav and Garrett. After Adam and Ayari left this is the position we have least depth.
  16. Re: Weimann. He knew Downing and Sammie from earlier. Might have been one of the reasons.
  17. Weimann has been with Austria in the euros and training all along, expect him to go straight in.
  18. How can they though? Invested in youth and potential combined with experience
  19. Think you might be right, but my choice would be Hedges - JRC - Weimann Vale
  20. Bet you’re right. Just proves to me we need to keep investing in Academy.
  21. Cheers. This guy had an underwhelming goalscoring record.
