  1. That guy has to be a dingle. Nobody is that stupid...
  2. No idea. Hopefully long gone. Although you could argue Fleck &McFazdean shouldn't be viewed as new signings as they were part of the squad last year.
  3. The Japanese lad doesn't seem able to find the boarding gate.
  4. Those kind of statements are careless from the manager. 'Really good players' to me means players that are proven or better than the league you are in. No chance any of that ilk arrive. He's upped expectations based on that. If they turn out to be a couple of league one frees, McFazdean, Fleck and a couple of kids from the continent, he loses any credibility he had.
  5. simply because its a signing 🤷🏻‍♂️. It's an incredibly low bar these days.
  6. The strategy has been clear for a while. Sign cheap 'experienced' free journey men to pad out the first team. Take low cost punts on several young players and throw them into the first team after a few months in the under 21s. If the young player is any good, he'll be sold to the first bidder. Aim is not to get relegated but they won't care if we do. its ok though because they reduced ST by £30 so what do people expect.
  7. Oh good. I like watching teams with good wingers. No excuses then. None of the players on show yesterday were fast or exciting wingers though. He may be in for a change of tactic.
  8. Can't see any reports on yesterday's game on the LT site. Are they only reporting if we win a game?
  9. So poor. Eustace hasn't got them well drilled. Clueless going forward. Is there another game with the young uns?
  10. Preseason but this is abysmal from what must be close to our starting 11. Not surprising really given it's the same players -with the same weaknesses- as last year...
  11. Not remotely threatened their goal yet. oops 2-0 to now
  12. Very good Spain. Southgate can't set up a team that doesn't sit deep. Should have been more proactive. Kane should never pull on an England shirt again. Awful player.
  13. 'Only afford Dykes if we sell'. Despite raking in £25 mil in sales. Tells you all you need to know about our funding. There isn't any.
  14. Still buzzing this morning. After 40 odd years of watching England mess up.every tournament, 2 consecutive finals is dreamland. Even if we lose, it's better than usual! That said, Spain have played exceptionally well this tournament but we've nothing to fear. They weren't pre-tournament favourites and if anything have over-performed. England have generally under-performed. I think we are better suited to nullifying passing teams, than those with big, quick players like France. Pretty optimistic tbh. Only downside maybe that Southgate will go to a back 4 so he can match Walker up against Nico-Williams. Big decision to make over Kane. He's stunk the team out so far. Come on England.
  15. At least it seems that the penny has finally dropped with the vast majority of fans - that Venkys are complete wankers... ...and the club is screwed.
  16. No whiff of a first team transfer yet? I don't believe it.
  17. Must have been incredibly rewarding. All that effort resulting in no actual signings.
  18. If,and I hope to God we do, invest in some proper wingers, we'll also need a striker that can head a ball goalwards!
  19. Completely agree. After last season's shambles on and off the pitch, they should have gone low. Next year. A one off £150 for the anniversary season... that would get bums on seats regardless of the ownership situation.
  20. I'd say it's both. There are many ex ST holders, who are fed up by the way the club is run. Lack of ambition, terrible transfer windows, selling our best players, Poor home performances etc. I'm one of them. Many of us don't want to walk away from the club altogether so will still attend odd games socially. Follow on tv etc. In terms of people I personally know, 5-6 of us ( middle aged, comfortable income) would most likely buy a ST under new owners - at the £400+ mark. However at £250, this same group would also most likely buy a ST under the current regime - on the basis that if the season is as bad as expected, you haven't lost much if you don't go to half of them! I guess that would apply to quite a few people. As it stands, the owners are still here and the prices aren't low enough to be enticing. The only way the ST sales will pick up by the start of the season, is if some quality signings come through the door. Just my 2 penneth.
  21. Keep checking in, hoping for a sign of a decent link but here really aren't any, are there? Only links gave been around poor free transfers and lower league/non league players. Awful.
  22. Agree. Thought it was a poor and patronising interview. "We need the fans, we need them to turn up for games and we need them to understand the plan of the club. Where we are going and why we're going this way," he told RoversTV. Tell us he's all about communicating - yet doesn't tell us what the plan of the club is and why. Which is basically what people have been asking since we were relegated from the Prem. From the outside it looks like we just sell all our best best players at the first opportunity. Reinvest almost nothing and are happy just to promote as many as needed from the academy. The only clear statement about a 'football plan' was to avoid relegation. So come on Rudy, spill the beans. Where are we going?
  23. Didn't see much in Moran to suggest he'd have a decent prem career. Doesn't have much physicality, not particularly quick. Didn't seem to have the vision/ability of Harvey Elliott. Thought Khadra offered more in his spell here and he's not set the world alight. But then what do I know, I also thought Branthwaite was a proper clogger.
  24. We know our benevolent owners haven't transferred any money since November last year and that was to cover essential costs. No sign of them sending any more. We were told we had to generate transfer funds when they were actually putting money in. The budget will therefore be miniscule unless a chunk of money arrives from India.
