Dolan can't replace Szmodic. His decision making in the final third is dire.

The main sticking point is that he was available in Jan. He shouldn't have been. If we held on till summer, we'd have got more. That we didn't, is simply down to Venkys refusal to fund the club.

His hold up play and ability to lead a line is something we haven't had since Danny Graham. If he can get 7-10 goals over the season, he will have proven a great bit of business. The bulk of the goals will need to come from another source.

As bad as our set piece defending is, our corners are far more inventive/effective than they've been in years.

I suppose it depends whether that's 3 altogether...or 3 permanent plus loans. We need way more than 3 so that would be shite. 2-3 permanent plus 3/4 loans would cover our needs.

That's not really the point - obviously you back a keeper, that performs at a consistently high standard, through a couple of wobbles. Pears has made numerous clangers and proven he isn't consistently 'good'... and is still number 1. If we sign a better keeper, he should be straight in. There are some arguing that the shirt should be Pear's to lose. In which case, it won't take long - first clanger and he's out!
