  1. Scruffy half. Defended well overall but as we know there is nothing going forward. If Leeds score it's game over.
  2. Stupid yellow from Baker. Don't rate him at all.
  3. Pears has reverted to type last couple of games.
  4. Pears needs better studs. Shit corner from Baker.
  5. Jury has always been out on Dolan for me. Always industrious but lacks that 'football intelligence' in the final third. As a result he scores fewer and creates less than he should. Both last season and this were expected to be his 'breakout' season where he suddenly scores 10 goals plus. He doesn't look like achieving that consistently-even going forwards. Like Brereton though, at some stage in his career, he will no doubt have a one off purple patch. No idea how much he wants (and Rovers will be offering the bare minimum) so can't hold that against him. He's always come across as a reasonably humble lad though. Unlike some, his injury record is also good. IMO, In our squad, he should on parity with the like of Brittain/Hyam. He's an up and down Championship player who certainly hasn't shown enough to step up a league in the future but can be very useful on his day. Am I bothered if he goes? I'd much rather lose the like of Hedges, Sigurdsson, Gueye before Dolan. However, if he won't resign and leaves for another British club, it wouldn't be the end of the world. We'd get a chunk of compensation for a player who cost us nothing and he should go with our best wishes. If he went abroad for free, that would feel more frustrating. As per usual, the club haven't been very transparent regarding negotiations. Taking Broughton's brief tenure out of the equation, history suggests Waggot's the best part of useless at agreeing contract extensions so Dolan going is the most likely outcome!
  6. That's good. Gives him a month to settle in, then he can start working on transfers🤔
  7. Not really heard if him...if true, let's hope he's as good as our last Kiwi centre back
  8. Yup. It happens time and ime again. Wouldn't it be nice to buck the trend once and a while though.
  9. No they won't be any different. Venky curse continues. As an aside: Gueye cannot be starting games. Sub appearances only. Bakers loan needs terminating.
  10. That was a hard watch. A few let offs giving the ball away. Pears looks Pearsy. Not much going forward. Baker an absolute passenger here.
  11. Thought Leonard competed very well against a big WBA team at the beginning of last season. Scored and was getting in behind their defence a lot in the second half. He clearly has enough about his game to lead the line if need be. Big game tomorrow. Rovers, of the last ten years, would lose it. Will this team be different... A win makes Leeds a free hit. Draw or lose and we are looking at potentially only taking 1/2 pts from 15 over Christmas. Seriously knackering our chances of hanging around the top 6. We need a minimum of 4 pts from the next 3 games. The Millwall defeat is the one that has cost us the most.
  12. Agree with that. We didn't get in their half once they equalised. Gueye came on put himself about, won some headers and helped us get up the pitch. Thought we were far too narrow today. There was no outlet out wide. Baath, Brittain and I have to say Pears were very good. Don't rate Hyam. Hedges and Cantwell were innefective today. Where was Hedges for their 2 goals? Poor game from Tronstadt too. Dolan decent first half, garbage the second. Great to see Leonard scoring. Should do his confidence a world of good. Real shame that Beck's dribble into the box in the last couple of mins didn't result in more. Would have taken a point before hand so can't be too negative about it..but we were so comfortable first half. The big test for this Rovers team is taking the 3 against Hull. Win that and Leeds/Burnley are a free hit.
  13. Twice in 2 games we've come up against good wingers. It would lovely to have a couple of our own.
  14. Always hoing to happen that. Bad day all round.
  15. We'll lose this in injury time. Just been a bad day. Bit like the Preston game.
  16. I think I'd take the draw now. Poor all over the pitch.
  17. That was a tough half. Low quality from both sides - especially Rovers. The Millwall threat is definitely out wide. We can't put 3 passes together today. Hyam especially just seems to be lumping the ball aimlessly.
  18. Their left winger seems everything we need.
  19. Both our fullbacks are far too slow. Jeez.
