  1. Hedges/Dolan/JRC/Siggy all offer very little. No pace/no height. Little threat. Weak in front of goal.
  2. Simply highlights the lack of depth/quality in this squad.
  3. Yup. This is what we have to look forward too. Fuck me. What was that JRC.
  4. That was a non descript half of football Duru looks decent. Gueye done ok. siggy/Weiman/Vale all ponderous for me. If anything, Vale has been the livelier of the 3!
  5. Poku one wing (buy) Matondo the other wing (loan to buy) That would solve the pace issue. Eustace can sit us as deep as he wants then. Neither will happen.
  6. As it stands- players we've expressed some form of interest in spending a small amount of coin on. Cantwell - Maybe but unlikely. Dembele - seemingly off to Swansea. John Yeboah- Off to Italy. Matondo - apparently staying put. Stansfield - no chance at £6m. Josh Bowler - probably been looked at but we can't compete transfer wise with PNE or Hull. Plus Forest hate us. Gustavo Puerta - off to Hull, loan to buy. Ryo Germain- looks like we dropped the idea to focus on above. Iversen - wages too high. Loans Travers- likely to go elsewhere. Rushworth - most likely option seeing as we haven't spun the Brighton loan tombola yet. Beck - seemingly signing.
  7. Dolan is awful on the wing. Needs shifting to the bench or out.
  8. I agree with the idea of loan to buy with a fee agreed....if there's any club willing/stupid enough to do that with Rovers. Or taking a top class talent that suddenly becomes available that we could never conceivably buy. Or bringing in an emergency 'stop gap' due to a rush of injuries in one position. All those options should be explored after you have signed your permanent players. I really hope there are some cash buys/ permanent lined up. We've been told 3/4 players in consistently by Eustace/Gestede. Those 3/4 should be permanent signings. 3 decent loans on top of that and we have real squad depth. I'll believe it when I see it. I think they will all be loans. We'll know by Saturday one way or the other.
  9. Excellent. Why not buy him then? No use to us in 12 months.
  10. Because over the last 2 years we were told several times by several different club members that we needed to sell to generate a transfer kitty. £41 million later and we are looking at predominantly loans and frees. The owners could commit half their 'usual' amount for running the club and we could still spend £8-10 million. But they haven't so we won't. We know they all lie. So that's probably why banking £41 million is mentioned a lot🤷🏻‍♂️
  11. I think most were hoping for an improvement on Pickering not a back up. Pickering would be ok as a squad filler. We were told by Eustace that any signings need to be better than what we already have. We already had a young lad, who did ok in the SPL at left back. Yet we sold him to Barnsley. May as well just have kept Gent.
  12. I thought that. Not much evidence of his tackling ability.
  13. So the LB is a loan. Fair enough. Given the 3 keeper names from Jackson - that looks like being a loan. Are we speculating 4 loans and no cash signings...
  14. Excellent. This year's Liverpool loanee tombola.
  15. Shame. He looks a proper winger. Seems comfortable on either foot and can go outside or in.
  16. He said he knew little about them when interviewed and credited the recruitment team. Saying he's happy with the attacking squad depth isn't going to encourage Swag et al to put their hands in their pockets. Let's hope we end up with Stansfield and Dembele by Friday,
