So yesterday's news is the Polish cb seems to think Rovers was a non Starter - as did most of us - and we can add Oxford United to the ever-growing list of clubs we can't compete financially with. Not a sniff of contract renewals. Well done Pasha . I'm not sure I can cope with this exciting summer Rudy! Venkys out.

Exactly. You either need to be the build of this German forward or a Bellamy to be able to be effective on your own. -
All going as predicted so far. Linked to players we can't afford. We laughed at the 90 percent of players signed by pre season -and right we were. Baath/Weinman gone Dolan as good as gone Forshaw back in... quelle surprise. Two cheap Euro signings in. No contract renewals in sight for Travis, Brittain, Tronstadt or Hyam. I'd say its going exactly as most of us envisaged.

Tyler Morton still light weight and shite -
And according to wiki one career goal and one assist. At 23, he's either becoming a late developer or he's just not that good...and he won't cost much more than ยฃ400k up front. Has to be heavily clause based/future profit to get anyway North of ยฃ800k This is clearly a data signing because nothing in his regular stats/game time/highlight reel suggest to me he's the dynamic box to box midfielder we want. On the plus side, he adds height, doesn't take up a special permit place, knows the league and speaks the lingo so that part ticks the boxes. As a bit if a dinosaur when it comes to the data approach (give me the Brian Clough approach any day), I'll watch the lad with interest. If he turns out to be a good find, I will stand corrected and hail the data!

Sam Szmodics - opinion changed ?

Not bothered by his admission. Let's not think the club for one minute didn't want to cash in on him either and wouldn't want him injured... it's like the 'not available due to injury' line before a player sold. Always gave it on the pitch. That is what counts. -
As far as I can tell, the owners haven't put money in for a significant period of time. ST targets won't be met. No matchday revenue. So where is any money for transfers coming from? Unless there's a Wharton sell on windfall at some stage, there isn't any. As others have said, we can't get contract extensions done with our better players. For the sake of a few thousand extra on the wage bill, we will no doubt lose 20 times that in transfer fees - when they leave for cheaper fees or free. Penny pinching with no foresight at all. I imagine we will pick up some out of contract random player from the Luxembourg league and a freebie 17 yr old kid loan by the start of pre season. Then it will be the late August scramble if we have managed to sell 2 or 3 by then. Happy 150 Rovers. You can't run a club like this. Fifteen years FFS .
