  1. The proven Championship player. Who'd have thought it
  2. Said that earlier. We struggled last year to score goals and we've less up top this year.
  3. No no, we are stronger than last year. These are Ismail's signings. Part of his plan.
  4. Hopefully been told to sign the contract before he gets a run out.
  5. Don't see where the goals are in that side. 0-0 best we can hope for.
  6. Interesting point that last part. I think 20 yrs ago maybe that would be the case. Foreign players were often considered mercenary players with little loyalty etc. Same can be said about the British players in this era. It all comes down to how good the players are, in my opinion. If the team is doing well, the fans will bond with whomever. If the players/team aren't performing, the fans will be on their back regardless of nationality. Danny Murphy, Bradley Orr leap to mind.
  7. He played most of pre season so if he's not injured, he should be fit. Miller is available and he's been out injured for longer.
  8. Feels like there's something afoot with Cantwell. Whether its transfer or personal. Ismael's comments about him being fit but not ready are a bit ambiguous.
  9. No - there hasn't. Which is baffling in all honesty. This magical winger is going to have to be an absolute goal machine to make up for Dolan and Weimann's goals - plus add a few more. None of our front players will hit double figures, in my opinion obviously. We are going to have to be incredibly hard to break down. I imagine, like the last couple of seasons, if we don't score first, it's game over.
  10. Agree. ideally we sign a striker better than Yuki and Gueye. Forget about Leonard until he's got at least half a season under his belt.
  11. Completely agree Rev. We are really weak up top. Specialist right winger, striker (better than Woodrow!) and someone who can play across the line. If Trav does get sold, that's where the money needs to go. Not on a replacement midfielder. Tronstadt/Axel/Tavares/Forshaw/Montgomery is enough cover for 2 positions, given the issues further up the pitch.
  12. Problem is, you take Kargbo off the left and put him on the right, we are stuck with DeNeve or Hedges on that side. Wide and up front we are really short of attacking threat. Just don't see where the goals come from.
  13. Feel Miyoshi is a little underwhelming especially anywhere around £2 million. Tidy little player but I feel we'd be better suited by a Kargbo type on the right.
  14. That's how I see it. If Arsenal get anywhere near £2mil for the lad he'll be gone.
  15. I agree about those 2. We've lacked a bit of aggression for a while. You need the odd Andy Todd character out there.
  16. I wonder if the incoming Swede has led to a last minute change to more favourable terms for Baradji?
