Interesting point that last part. I think 20 yrs ago maybe that would be the case. Foreign players were often considered mercenary players with little loyalty etc. Same can be said about the British players in this era. It all comes down to how good the players are, in my opinion. If the team is doing well, the fans will bond with whomever. If the players/team aren't performing, the fans will be on their back regardless of nationality. Danny Murphy, Bradley Orr leap to mind.

No - there hasn't. Which is baffling in all honesty. This magical winger is going to have to be an absolute goal machine to make up for Dolan and Weimann's goals - plus add a few more. None of our front players will hit double figures, in my opinion obviously. We are going to have to be incredibly hard to break down. I imagine, like the last couple of seasons, if we don't score first, it's game over.

Completely agree Rev. We are really weak up top. Specialist right winger, striker (better than Woodrow!) and someone who can play across the line. If Trav does get sold, that's where the money needs to go. Not on a replacement midfielder. Tronstadt/Axel/Tavares/Forshaw/Montgomery is enough cover for 2 positions, given the issues further up the pitch.

Thought this was an interesting few lines from todays LET. First time Ismael let slip the experience card. "We have no more injuries and weβre taking the positives today because we shouldβve scored more goals. The second half was much better, very good.β βWe had more kids on the pitch in the first half so I think that made a difference,β he added. βWe had more experience, more pace and we knew what the opponent wanted to do so we could make the press right.
