  1. So likely to stop one or 2 more than Pears but all the same weaknesses he has.
  2. Thanks for the 8/10 clarification. Strikes me we don't currently play with an '8' then. Rather 2 sixes and a ten. 🤷🏻‍♂️ If Baker is an 8, then is he a ball carrier or a dribbler 🤯
  3. Don't know much about Baker except he's been mentioned as a target for a while. Would make sense but assume very similar to Cantwell - unless that's now fallen through. Keeper - Meh. Wait and see. Beck. Be interesting if Pickering injured for Sat. If the lad is good, he should be straight in otherwise it'll be Britain at left back. No idea how good the potential winger from Brighton is. Would rather we signed a permanent winger with him as a bonus. Cantwell - Believe it when I see it. Permanent winger, Striker and CB for a very good window.
  4. Seeing as we debunked the difference between a ball carrier and a dribbler. Can anyone clarify the difference between an 8 and a 10 these days. Asking for someone that grew up with Garner as a 10.
  5. Permanent signings cough cough, left winger cough.
  6. If the internal arguments were Dembele or Germain, are we now signing the Japanese lad?
  7. He misjudges the bounce of a ball a lot! Any full back requires a modicum of pace. Unless you are playing Rovers, you are likely up against the quickest player on the pitch. You can have all the positioning nous in the world but if that ball gets knocked past you, you've had it.
  8. That was when we were going through the 'lack of experience in the dressing room' phase.
  9. Brittain not been as good as hoped IMO. Not great defensively and average going forward. Has a decent engine to be fair though.
  10. Hopefully we get Cantwell, keeper and a winger signed on permanent deals. Then fill our boots with the Premier league kids - CM, Wing, CF and CD. Would be huge improvement over previous windows. Would not be averse to a bit of late player trading. Dolan/Siggy/Hyam would not be greatly missed.
  11. We need both. Of the links today - we can live without the rb from Newcastle. Britain Duru JRC, Trav - even Carter can cover that. I'd be really trying to move Dolan or Siggy (or both) on and get another decent forward.
  12. It won't be a million miles away from Gally's wage I'd reckon. Cheap fee in context. Talented lad - just questions over whether his head's in the game. Type of signing we always used to gamble on. No grumbles here if it comes off. Reminds me very much of Bentley. Talented but out of love with the game. Rejuvenated his career with us. Regressed when he left. Sometimes better to be the big fish in a small pond.
  13. Worry not. We've bought our tickets for the PL2 young kids Tombola. Drawn Friday.
  14. Lets put it this way, if the meeting is over and he hasn't put pen to paper, he's not signing here.
  15. I'm sure just 24 hours ago in the LT Jackson said we had shortlisted 3 keepers. Iversen, Travers and Rushworth. As we are clearly signing none of those his info can't be great - even with his line in the club.
  16. Arse end of his career but Dino Baggio was disappointing in his short spell with us. Throw in Grabbi and the Italian league is one to avoid!
  17. Would be a very exciting loan...but its bound to be the Gordon kid and a complete anti climax.
