The lack of (apparently) not wanting a striker is baffling. Weren't we supposed to be signing Ashante last Jan but then picked up 2 forwards on loan? Clearly they must know it's the weak point. I'm wondering whether Gueye may well be on his way. Ismail doesn't really seem to rate him.

Excellent performance that. Thought Hull were poor - maybe we just made them look awful. Being picky. A better forward line and we'd have had 6. Gueye particularly poor that last 10 mins. Edit: Thought Toth had a solid game too.

It's uncanny that every time an experienced player transfer out is announced. A foreign lower league player is brought in at exactly the same time. It's a stunning coincidence. One thing that surprised me about Kargbo was the leap on him for that header on Sat. Granted he missed but I've not seen someone of his stature hang in the air like that since Speedie. Perhaps out of our current options, he may be the best fit at actually leading the line. He has the pace to scare cbs to death and may be able to hold his own in the air. Just a thought. But then we'd need 2 wingers and we can't even find one.
