  1. anyone flying out from Birmingham around 9am thursday morning?
  2. its on British Eurosport click on UEFA cup in the top menu on this link
  3. Looks like Gamst got injured last night as well. He suffered from a broken rib, a injury that he picked up in the first half. He have pulled out of the norwegian international squad for the game on wednesday. Don't know how long you will be out with a broken rib? anyone who knows?
  4. I've finished my first season with Rovers and I was very pleased in the end. 6th place in the league Won the UEFA cup Lost semi-final FA cup against Derby Got Marcelo (left back) from Fluminense, 18-year old kid who is already the new left back on the brazilian national team on my game. The other two signings the first season was vanden Borre (which I sent to cercle brugge on loan) and Bojan (15-year old wonderkid from Barca). I was struggling a bit the first couple of months of the season in my usual 4-4-2 formation, but after I changed to the 4-2-3-1 formation, which I was highly succesful with Barca on the demo, I started getting good results and was well within reach of top of the league just before christmas. But then I got a lot of injuries on key players, most of them long term. In january it came to a point where I had 6 first team regulars out injured, but amazingly my team got through it. Thanks to Gally playing well on the right wing and Sergio Peter playing excellent on the left wing. Peter is getting a lot better and his value is increasing all the time. Nonda scored my goals in the start of the season, but then he got injured and I started playing with only one striker. After the season I think Benni, Nonda and Roberts all ended up with 16-18 goals each with each having their patch of good scoring form in the season. But I think I should add a few odd things with my 1st whole season on FM2007. Man City won the league, Arsenal ended up in 14th, West Ham came 19th and sacked Pardew a few hours before kick off of the last game of the season when they still could stay up. the top half of the table was: 1. Man City 2. Chelsea 3. Man Utd 4. Newcastle 5. Everton 6. Blackburn 7. Liverpool 8. Tottenham ... 14. Arsenal It was very close between the teams in the top 7
  5. My prediction: Rovers 4 - 0 Man Utd Jeffers 7, 34 Peter 56 Derbyshire 84 Ferdinand s/o 34 for a late tackle at Savage (who sits in the VIP stand), Ferdinand claims that Sav abused him but the ref won't listen to any excuses. Ronaldo s/o 73 for two yellowcards following two dives. Ferguson s/o 88 for kicking the 4th official a certain place Jeffers to miss last minute penalty for his hat-trick  EDIT: Excellent preview btw
  6. well, I seem to remember from watching Rovers in most games this season that Ooijer is playing right center. Although it doesn't matter at all for just suggesting a line-up, and I wasn't thinking of this at all tbh when I wrote this line up

  8. Friedel Emerton*, Zurab, Ooijer, Neill Gally, Bentley, Tugay, Gamst Nonda, Jeffers Benni seems a bit tired atm, doesn't seem like he care too much about whats happening on the pitch.. Zurab was awful against West Ham and had a blunder yesterday that led to 2-0, but I don't think Henchoz is good enough. A shame that Hughes don't wanna play Toddy anymore Tugay and Mokoena can't play together at all. Both likes to play in the holding midfielder role, neither of them can run the midfield like Savage. But if we play Bentley in central mid, he have the work rate to chase the ball as well as the ability to create attacks with his skills and creativity. If we're going to revert to 4-5-1 is my choice definitely this line up: Friedel Emerton*, Ooijer, Zurab, Neill Mokoena Gally, Bentley, Tugay, Gamst Nonda Hopefully Emerton will be ready for the Man Utd match, cos Mickey 'the turtle' Gray isn't exactly a world beater on left back (although I've seen ppl writing he was one of our better peformers against villa).
  9. Tugay in interview with SkySport!! what are you waiting for mr.Williams!! give the legend a 4 year deal
  10. What about a new poll? I will change my vote to GET RID!!! the drummers have been awful the last couple of games, and I'm not surprised if Friedel lost his hearing after the 1st half against basel
  11. just spoke to the ticket office: apparently the queue is massive, about 1 mile long when I spoke to them 20 mins ago  I guess there will be a fairly big queue tonight, but I've already secured my tickets for tonight and the Nancy match for £5
  12. check out SatFootball.com for tv listenings!
  13. I would like to see McEveley again. Gray played awful against west ham, and I think McEveley played decent in the 2nd half against chelsea
  14. doesn't tell anything about Emerton apart from that he was missing against West Ham..hopefully he's fit for thursday
  15. I said a few pages back, Gamst spoke to some of the staff in BRSCN after the bolton match and said he IS the designated penalty taker and would have taken the penalties if he still was on the pitch (with other words, would have taken the pens if he wasn't that sh1t ) So I think you can trust Pleasure on this one bluebruce...
  16. I just spoke to one of the norwegians who met Gamst outside Ewood after the bolton match and he told them that he was the penalty taker (as Pleasure posted) and would have taken it if he was still on the pitch
  17. I don't think I've ever predicted us to lose a match on here...I don't think I will predict anything before we've trashed the chelsea reserves..
