  1. center back for both PSV and Holland as far as I know..
  2. well, at least we know that you two weren't at Ewood today! Neill was very good at the back today and have some neat combinations with Gamst, Tugay, Benni etc when going forward... I belive it was Lucas who set up Bentley/Jeffers when we equalised as well. people need to get over that Neill haven't signed a new contract! the man of the matc award today was close race between him and Benni, but I gave it to Neill (doing the player ratings for the norwegian supporters club) today cos I though Benni should have scored some more goals today. Neill didn't make any major errors as I could spot today. 1. McCarthy was NOT in offside when Roberts got the ball passed Kirkland, but he was offside in the build up when Neill played the ball behind their defence. 2. Ooijer played well against both Boro and Salzburg (man of the match), but before those two games I would have agreed with you bringing Todd back. He have no pace at all and made a stupid challenge on heskey for the penalty.. edit: its nice that they are happy to score a goal for Rovers, but c'mon guys...kids are watching!
  3. this sounds like a good idea! imagine that, chelsea will have some problems when 10 of their players is suspended
  4. Rovers 5-2 Wigan Nonda 13 Ooijer 25 McCarthy 15, 78, 81 for wigan: Heskey 31, 42  Att: 22,497
  5. Rovers doesn't always give the true attendance...even though if we're playing burnley and Ewood is rammed, it will still be only 29,560 or something..
  6. sorry mate...you got it wrong; me, Jordan and the rest of us you were talking to are Rovers supporters and btw...it was no way 46 away supporters in darwen end..I would say between 20 and 30
  7. here is the seeding Pot 1: Sevilla Newcastle United Panathinaikos AC Parma Ajax Bayer Leverkusen Feyenoord AJ Auxerre Pot 2: Club Brugge FC Basel AZ Alkmaar Sparta Praha Glasgow Rangers Celta de Vigo Paris Saint-Germain RC Lens Pot 3: Besiktas Palermo Espanyol Heerenveen Partizan Belgrade Rapid Bucuresti Wisla Kraków Slovan Liberec Pot 4: Fenerbahce Austria Wien Hapoel Tel-Aviv Osasuna Blackburn Rovers Grasshoppers Zürich Dinamo Bucuresti Livorno Pot 5: Tottenham Hotspur Maccabi Haifa Sporting Braga AS Nancy Lorraine Eintracht Frankfurt Zulte Waregem Mladá Boleslav OB Odense I'd say bring on barry 'mickey mouse' ferguson and his cartoon mates!
  8. don't agree at all, think most of us were very quiet today (me included, went out last night..wasn't feeling very well)
  9. so this thread about Jansen have turned in to whether Terry Venables is a good manager or not?
  10. "But Mark Hughes is expected to keep faith with central defensive partnership of Andre Ooijer and Zurab Khizanishvili. New Zealand international Ryan Nelsen looks likely to be out through injury until Christmas but Andy Todd and Dominic Matteo are also in contention." middlesbrough's official preview this guy don't have clue, even I should be in contention before the elephant
  11. BBC preview boro-Rovers from the preview: so we are without Jeffers up front, I guess that Nonda will be given his first start for the club then. And Todd out of the team will be no difference, but if Hughes should choose to play Mokoena instead of Tugay, we might have Gray on the bench? since Jeffers will not be there anyway.. sorry if this have been posted earlier.. I predict the following team. Friedel Emerton - Zurab - Ooijer - Neill Bentley - Savage - Mokoena - Gamst Nonda - Benni Subs: Brown, Gray, Tugay, Gallagher, Peter
  12. correct EDIT: Matt Jansen goal vs liverpool this was my first game live at Ewood Park, remember it so well...although the result turned out to be sh1te, the firs 10 min was awesome
  13. Boro 1 - 2 Rovers for boro: Woodgate 42 min for Rovers: McCarthy 56 min Nonda 86 min
  14. about Lucas and Andy I think Lucas is made captain of a couple of reasons, he is a good leader and Hughes want to show Lucas how important he is to Rovers and persuade him to sign a new contract.. And I think that is the right decision as well, always gives a 100% and is one of our most important players.
  15. I'm up for playing the home leg as well!! the guys might still be knackered after the away leg in a couple of weeks and the team needs some fresh legs
  16. just visit www.satfootball.com, and click on the UEFA cup link, to see which channel Rovers are on..
  17. any pubs in manchester broadcasting british eurosport?
  18. I got rid of that during the summer stu, I finally came to my senses...well at least I thought I did..
  19. don't you worry stu, the match will probably be sh1te anyway... Rovers 4 - 0 Citeh McCarthy x2 Neill (pen) Mokoena (coming on as a sub and scoring a cracker of a goal, cross from Friedel who is way out of position, and Mokoena scores on a perfect overhead kick) Edit: ...I promise I will call the doctor tomorrow...
  20. thanks for the update, but this is old news...at least a week old
  21. thanks, strange that he's in the first team photo..might be just to "make up the numbers"
  22. Rovers team photo who is the player on the left of Lucas Neill? couldn't be asked starting a new topic on this, so just posted it in this thread..
