Palmers not been good but about the least bad of all the forward players we have out. Picking only two subs will be hard as id want Brereton; Reed and Rothwell on for Armstrong Evans and Palmer. Starting Conway has cost us there

Great as always. Inteteresting that we came away gutted but on the balance of the game seeing it broken down like that they had probably the better chances. Abraham should have scored at least one.

Armstrong would be a little fortunate to keep his place, he’s been awful the last two games, wouldn’t be adverse to see him given a crack up top though. Rothwell and his energy would be useful I think in this one as well.

They did cut us open at times albeit earlier before the subs, Abraham missed two good chances after nice movement

May be harsh but thought Brereton had a bit of a Gallagher / Derbyshire moment jusy before their goal. Had the ball out wide and ran into danger then failed to win it back.

Frustrating to say the least but I really enjoyed that. Felt like a proper game of football between two decent teams. Smallwood should be out now his best tackle of the game was unfortunately on his own teammate! Brereton isn’t a wide man and needs playing centrally. Think Rothwell can consider himself unlucky not to feature and would be looking to bring him or Palmer in midweek and maybe bring in Armstrong from the bench
