  1. Good luck to Eric Abidal who is having an operation for a tumour on his liver. Hope he's ok.
  2. I'd say Rec is the best horror in years definitely worth a watch as is the Descent.
  3. I had but not in my adult life so I thought it was about time I watched them all in order, predator 1 and 2 next.
  4. Watched Memento for the first time last night, very good film don't know how I missed it until now. Felt the ending was a little underwhelming though Also you guys give M Night too much credit, I think for most of his films he thinks of a twiiist and then wraps a bad plot around it. Although as I said Devil was Ok as a saturday night popcorn flick. I've also been watching the Alien series for the first time over the last couple of weeks, doing a backlog of classics I may have missed
  5. Yeah I liked Drag me to Hell, got a few films to watch at the moment probably watch Let me in next.
  6. Yeah kind of horror / thriller M Night Shalyman (or however you spell it) film. Basically 5 people stuck in a lift and things start going wrong.
  7. Should be getting Despicable Me BluRay in the post tomorrow, top film. Just watched Devil tonight, actually quite enjoyed it, it's in no way a masterpiece but ok as a popcorn flick.
  8. Rather than start a new thread I thought I'd ask here, what does your BluRay collection mostly consist of? Up until recently I hadn't bothered buying them much but now have every Disney and Pixar animated film released, the quality is second to none. Otherwise I just have a few of my favourite films of different genres.
  9. I tried a Rueben in Florida didn't think too much of it (American corned beef is just weird) hope our Ruben is better!
  10. Welcome aboard Ruben, shame there is no cup games for him to play in now. Edit: The 'goal' at 2:20 went wide, great skill though
  11. I think that hits the nail bang on the head there, the wife although she found some bits funny didn't enjoy it, a lot due to the main character being so normal around his young son etc, which really I suppose is the whole point. I think if they didn't make some of the comedy so absurb it couldn't have worked nearly as well as a package. I loved the opening scene with him holding a minature replica AK47, brilliant.
  12. I found it funny especially the White guy and the guy from phonejacker its just odd because they make the guys likeable somehow
  13. Has anyone seen four lions? Odd film not sure if it was any good or not yet
  14. If he was though good enough and the best man for the job i'd have no problem otherwise Rovers have done more than enough to help him out. He's a legend and been through an awful time so I do wish him the best.
  15. Had a couple of nice meals over the weekend, Saturday night had a curry at Sukhis in Darwen, decent curry and bumped into Abbey as well. Yesterday we went to La Scala on longsight road for lunch, great value at £3.95 any pasta or pizza and it was as good a pasta dish and garlic bread I've had in a long time, will definitely go back.
  16. Really looking forward to Tangled at the end of this month, gutted they didn't stick with the hand drawn / 3d hybrid style
  17. I heard a lot about the infamous 'fridge scene' from the latest Indiana Jones but I have finally just seen it, bloody ridiculous.
  18. Yep it's good for the area in general the Tesco, and this new Oyster and Otter could be great, my in laws live just opposite a bit further down and are looking forward to it, the brother in law and his girlfriend especially. There's also a mighty fine new hairdressers in the area if I do say so myself (the wife runs it ) Back on topic, we are going to a place called Malthouse Farm (I think) in Whittle Le Woods at the end of January, menu looks half decent.
  19. Got to love the news, if there's snow up north it may be a footnote, any snow darn Lahndan it's main headline news and the country is in panic
  20. Just watched Se7en again, what a top top film.
  21. Wow I literally just came on to make that exact post, weird. He's either injured or still proving that he is a very average player.
  22. Just finished Castlevania, I really enjoyed it well worth the money
  23. I've mentioned it before but if anyone fancied picking up a good cheap BluRay then Apocalypto is superb and visually stunning (even if it is directed by a Wacko)
  24. Rip Ronnie. The word legend is thrown around too much these days, this man defines it in the sense of Blackburn rovers. A sad day for our club!
