Forster for me , he's at a good age I.e younger than Carson ,he is a huge unit and I think he's more likely to regain his form than Hart .. That said he won't come cheap as still under contract for another year and probably on huge wages even if we paid 40-50% he would still be by far our biggest earner

Not many I've heard of tbh on that list , personally although I don't see nationality as an issue , the ability to communicate and organise is essential for a GK , so any keeper who doesn't speak Any English I would have to rule out , sure i recognise the Greek lad was he at Ajax or PSV one of the big Dutch clubs

really do need now to concentrate on GK and C/B and in a perfect world L/B

I'd put Fraser Forster in the same category ... an England squad member not too long ago but a few dodgy performances and a crisis of confidence later and he slips to 3rd choice at s'oton now ??? ... These are still good quality Gk's for a mid table team in championship striving to get in the play-offs , not saying we could or should sign them but I am damn sure if Preston or Sheff Wed or Forest signed them we'd be green with envy

I just don't think Gallagher will score more than 12-15 goals a season and £5m is lot for such a limited return

Sorry been at work. .my ipad is a version 3 and it's ios 9.3.5 .. never had any issues in past I am actually on my Samsung at mo using Chrome and its fine

I am having problem on ipad using safari too .. just refuses to load up correctly. . Eventually when it does it just gets blank screens or part of posts .... this is about as close as I get

He's often spoken about players character , maybe this is one of the way he judges that , tell them they are not an auto pick , If they have a desire and the will to earn a place in the side they get his vote of approval if they are not up for the fight of getting in the team will they be up for a fight to get into play offs ? To avoid relegation ?

Wow ...couple of things that surprised me there 1) didn't know souness was boss for more games than dalglish and 2) Don Mackay who was vilified for a lot of his time at rovers as a pretty good win ratio

I can guarantee you this much , both Smallwood and Conway (neither of whom I particular rate) would cover a hell of a lot more ground than Downing . I have been banging the drum about wanting. Natural let footer in forward areas of the pitch for a while now because I think it's a player we desperately need , never thought it would be a 35 year old version of Jason Wilcox . At his age he just will not be able to get up and down the pitch so I fully expect him to be played in midfield And he will just stroll around picking the odd pass here and there very Danny murphy'esq ... We are not good enough to play with 10 and carry players

Fielding Hanley , some c/b we've never heard of Morrison and Gallagher would be my guess , with all the budget (whatever it may be ) spunk end on Gally a couple of fringe / u23's will leave that will free up a bit of wages for Downing at the end of window , probably deadline day just to keep us interested

Took the words out of my mouth ... The only player we have of "playing it out from the back" is the one who is universally thought of as past it and a weak link ... give me defenders who can defend please , if they can play a bit that's a bonus

£6m is far too much imo , about half that would be OK for me , certainly no more than 4 but I think the original link had us taking him on loan , which would be perfect as another poster said he is a similar player player Lenighan so maybe the recent links are as his replacement , which for me means we still need another C/b talking hypothetically , if we were to get £8m for Lenighan , took Hanley on loan Bidwell or Martin Olsson on a free and Got Jake Cooper for anything less than £6m , that would represent great business
