I have to admit Bell actually had a good game yesterday , but I just know he won't replicate that form and Wiliams is shocking ... For me a new left back is more a priority then any other position

I'd put Alan Wright and Stig Bjyornbye in there as well ...2 more left back who were with us in the 2nd tier that were far better than we have now

Ok .. So things have improved in the last 18-24 months , there doesn't seem to be any "outside influences" , Mowbray and Waggott seem to be in charge of their own respected areas of the club , the team is performing on the pitch and the relationship between fans and players is the best it's ever been under their ownership and they are , whether we are still wary of their intentions or not , putting money in ...... But is that enough ??? Is that enough to for us all to forgive and forget the shame , the destruction , the lunacy ?? To be honest I hate this situation , I would love to have owners who we adore Cheer and sing their name , Christ even Accy Stanley have an owner who has God-like status to them . So what can be done ? Sadly I think some of the older posters were spot on with this years ago when they said that after the 1960 cup final ticket fiasco a whole generation of Blackburn fans were lost and the same was going to happen under Venkys , some Rovers fans will never ever come back but for a grovelling apology from Madam and co , a promotion to PL massive investment in all areas of the club and winning the FA Cup but I just don't see that ever happening with Venkys

Fwiw I don't think Huth on a term deal as cover would be a bad idea , but if we do have a few quid to spend and are looking at something more long term Jake Cooper of Millwall is definatley worth looking at , English , early 20's and a beast in the air

Quite agree , I think as left backs go he's one of the best I've ever seen , possibly only surpassed by Maldini but that's another debate , we are definately week at left back and a short term deal til end of season would suit me

Agree with most of that , centre back cover (Bauer possibly) and a new first choice left back ( answers on a post card) are a must , I still feel there's room in the squad for a winger , I would have said Chapman but I think that boat as sailed now , but definately someone like him , a game changer from the bench . Not convinced we need a another striker , not in this window anyway

Villa are the best team we have played so far and I think we more than matched them , there 2 more tough games coming up in Derby and Stoke away , but both those teams have had Inconsistent starts and I am reasonably confident we could get something in both games
