Steele was the worst goalkeeper ive ever seen in professional football, and Sunderland paid a fee. There is no way its equal.
-
I had visions last night of Tony turning Rodwell into a top flight centre half, making the England squad.
-
He will do well there.
-
I saw that list too, some fun names on there.
-
So: Rodwell on a free to cover at CB Reed on loan at CM Brereton for ungodly amount of money Winger to be named later What is everyone whining about?
-
Thought Bennett was absolutely woeful first half, not a coincidence he improved when moved more centrally in the 2nd.
-
If the choice is Rodwell on a cheap two year deal, or Reed on Loan. I will take Rodwell, thanks. Again, I can see Smallwood being loaned out, he is a league one player, who served us well. Looking forward to the two announcements tomorrow. 2 tomorrow then 2 next week will have us in great shape.

I just don’t understand, a one point the ball got launched up to Danny who laid it off mid way in their half to a midfielder, and the ball ends up back with Charlie half way in our half. Launched ball again, rinse repeat. Full backs are feart to get forward. Zero breaks of the ball either in that half

Sonny Aluko was a piece of shit winger a Aberdeen last I checked, he has since turned into Claude Makelele
-
My eyes are going to bleed at the sight of the starting 11 vs Brentford, if Dack, Armstrong and Palmer are all out.
-
Bennett is getting worse as the first half goes on. Amazing
-
Elliot Bennett isn’t a right winger, I thought we established this last year?
-
Brereton to be announced before the game?
-
That first half against Hull was some of the best football we have played in years, I think we will see the same starting 11, but would prefer to drop Smallwood and put Bennett in centre mid with Armstrong dropping back to the Inside Forward on the right, with Graham coming in.

The budget, It is rather puzzling. We decided to offer new contracts to bit part players in Conway, Williams and Smallwood who could struggle to get into the match day squad if we sign three more. Points to budget change for sure

Maybe Mowbray was telling the truth about keeping the owners feet on the ground and building slowly. He maybe now sees this team could mount a serious challenge for promotion, esp with recent FFP judgements. Whilst also signing players with resale value if we don’t get there. Bradley Dack is worth a fortune, as is Lenihan and Raya. If the money is there then it’s house money. Fill yer wellies Tony

Just Nixon’s responses to Twitter questions today. Ha that’s what people said about Palmer when he signed. Looks like he can play in various positions and be effective.
-
Yeah think so. Ain’t many other gobshites reporting on Rovers. Me too would be thrilled
-
That’s the team right there

It’s sounds like the Luke Freeman rumour is coming back around. Apparently will let him go for 3m now, surely that’s a good deal. Position of need at left wing, and another Championship teams best player. This Brereton deal is becoming a farce, would be delighted to see Venkys stump up the cash for an expensive transfer like this but you can’t help but feel there is better value out there. The Haaland kid at Molde for example, yes it’s alfs son, is poised to join Salzburg for 8ish, and by all accounts he is one of the biggest wonderkids in Europe with a proven goal scoring record. Got another name to suggest. Dundee’s Steven Caulker has a Chequered past but also has an England cap. Rejuvenated his career at Dundee and there has been plenty of Championship interest. Only 26?still.

Evans is a bit of an enigma, he has spells of decent passing and is tidy with his touch. He isn’t great in the air but he did okay in that regard today, he had a golden chance to shoot earlier on which he should have taken. He is a fit lad, and puts in a shift. It’s him or Smallwood for one of the spots in centre mid doing the dirty work.

Thought we were absolutely sensational in the first half. 3-0 at half time wouldn’t have flattered us. Armstrong was having a great time running rings round their centre halfs. Thought our defense handled them no problem in the first half. Both full backs I thought were excellent today. Bell has made that spot his own. Lenihan was immense today and is becoming quite the player. Wouldnt be surprised to see premiership interest in January. Charlie boy did well, we badly need another commanding centre half in here before August 31st as I don’t think he will manage 46 games. Smallwood was poor again for me, stuck a boot in here and there but is so slow and devoid of any attacking impetus. Days are numbered at this level. Evans played well I thought and was busy throughout, especially late in the game, was still busting a gut. Much improved. Palmer is a talent, it hasn’t fully clicked yet in this system but he is a must start. He is the full package, has it all, will be a huge player for us his year. Unlucky to be subbed. Bennett with his usual high octane performance, as others have said he is not a winger anymore and the sooner he slots back into centre mid the better. Armstrong, looking like highway robbery that deal with Newcastle. Licking his chops all afternoon, and was unlucky not to score, caused no end of problems. Could tell he was enjoying himself. Dack, what can you say. Elite. Pops up with the winner with a great run into the box. Heart in mouth stuff when he went down, my heart will appreciate him not doing that again. Rothwell, tidy when he came on, looks a player. Graham did well, and should be coming off the bench away from home, and starting at home, this fast counter attacking tactic today doesn’t suit him, but holding the ball up, well there ain’t much better. Travis is full of piss and vinegar ain’t he, didn’t stop running and is a big laddie. I thought Tony was spot on today with the team, subs were head scratchers but that’s why he gets paid the big bucks. Championship take note, if we are seriously about to spend 10m on the squad before the end of August then you have to be targeting playoffs. If the Brereton deal comes off, and we land a mean centre half and Winger then I don’t think it’s unreasonable. That was an extremely enjoyable game. Jackson Irvine was the only Hull player that looked arsed today. Very poor side that.
-
Excellent performance so far from us. Lenihan sticking out like a Premier League player today. We look dangerous every time we get the ball. Nyambe and Bell speed are so important to the 4-5-1. Armstrong is a lethal weapon playing the offside trap. We are a couple of players away from being in the playoff race IMO

Saw him once against Arsenal and I remember he was bloody brilliantl
