Just watched the second half of the Hibs friendly. Nyambe wasn’t troubled in the slightest and looks to have dropped a half stone, looks a touch leaner. Most underrated player in the squad. Nyambe is first choice and Travis and Bennett can back him up. We need strikers and wingers, two of each and another Centre Half.

I have been a Hibs fan and Rovers fan for 25 years+. First time this has happened. Wish I was home for it, but wouldn't know where to sit. Have fun in Edinburgh, those that are going. Hopefully there is no trouble. Tb

Imagine if we got Bauer, Maddison, Armstrong and Chapman all bought, and then loaned a Premier League Striker. SIgning those 4 fits in with positions of need, what Mowbray says about younger players with resell value. Could get most of that done with the Josh King Cut. Can't remember who mentioned it, but someone on here made the point of Armstrong has to learn to play the Inside Forward/Right Winger position. So many teams like us are playing the 4-2-3-1, he simply doesn't have the stature to play as a lone striker. I wanna see a fast counter attacking team with Chapman and Armstrong providing the pace out wide.

I love a 4-4-2 diamond like what Uraguay are playing right now. Proper little and large striker combo, proper footballer(Dack) in behind the strikers, a tough defensive midfielder kicking people, wingers are more in a support role than attack. Would suit us.

Chapman over Conway anyday of the week and twice on Tuesday. What is with this Conway lovefest, he can barely run for gods sake. If we play a 4-2-3-1 like we did last year for most of the season, then you need a left winger who is quick on the break and can beat a man. More focus on going forward. Have Evans and Smallwood do the dirty work, we need someone in the team with pace.

Looking at the squad now I agree we will be back to 3-5-2. So: Raya Lenihan NEW Mulgrew Bennett——————Bell Rothwell——Smallwood —————Dack—————- ———NEW———NEW——- You have Williams, Nyambe, Travis who can all play a couple of positions off the bench for you, Bennett can play RWB or CM. Evans and Whittingham depth for CM, and Gladwin can be Dacks back up. So expect a Centre Back like Bauer or the boy Hector from Chelsea. Then 2 strikers. Hopefully one with power and strength like a Gestede type and then a quicker Armstrong type. Would love Lucas Joao back on a permanent and Thierry Anbrose on loan from City. Throw in a real quality Centre Midfielder and get rid of Evans or Whittingham and you have the 4 New Signings I think we need.

I missed two games last year out of 46. We were poor in most, no point sugar coating it. We had a couple of players that had no business being in the league, namely Dack, Raya and Mulgrew. We need to improve a lot before this season kicks off.
