Went to see Hibs Vs Motherwell at Easter Road yesterday. McGinn, as you expect stuck out like a sore thumb. Every time he touched the ball I turned to my pal and shook my head. No business in the SPL at this level. Just dominated the game, never gave the ball away once. Great range of passing, assisted the second with a lovely diagonal chip ball. Do it all midfielder. Strong as an ox, doesn’t stop running. Quality touch on him. First time I’ve seen him live, he will play in the premier league, be nice if it was in a Rovers shirt. Right age, right price. Get him Tony!

And I want Elisa Cuthbert to show up on my front doorstep sopping wet! 2.5-3m is realistic, probably spread out.

Celtic have been faffing aboot with this all summer. Offered 1.25m, then 1.5m then aren’t going higher. Player is out of contract next summer. He is worth more to Hibs to play for one season, than 1.5m. Also St Mirren are due a slice of his next transfer fee. His correct title is Super John McGinn. Can’t think of a better player to be your box to box midfielder in behind Dack. Same age too.

Certainly would, mentioned him a few months ago. I think he fits to what we are looking in a striker too. Would be a terrific addition, lads got it all and scored a few last year in a weird situation. Rate him.

We are in serious trouble if we don’t get at least three quality attacking goal threats in here soon. We need Armstrong. He can play up top with Graham, or wide right in the 4-2-3-1. We need another right winger, as Bennett is now viewed at RB, RWB or CM. Left winger/Inside Forward and 6ft+ Striker. If we have the money a quality Centre half won’t go a miss. Lenihan can fill in at RB if Nyambe/Travis/Bennett are all out, we don’t need a RB. It’s the same needs we have had all summer, and two preseason games in it looks like we are right. Nyambe was excellent last year, I watched 44/46 games on Ifollow. Been watching football for nearly 30years and can normally tell when someone is shite, live or on the 70” Telly. Some folks expecting him to look like Cafu. He is a very fast defensive right back. My biggest complaint aside from his crossing is he gets lost at times when the ball is in the air. It’s strange. He is lightning fast, strong as an ox, and can run all day. Think most people will agree he came on leaps and bounds last year, and as I said last week at Hibs, he looks to have lost a few pounds and looks even more athletic.

Could that be wing backs with a 3-5-2? Bennett/Travis in right and Conway on the left?

Just watched the second half of the Hibs friendly. Nyambe wasn’t troubled in the slightest and looks to have dropped a half stone, looks a touch leaner. Most underrated player in the squad. Nyambe is first choice and Travis and Bennett can back him up. We need strikers and wingers, two of each and another Centre Half.

I have been a Hibs fan and Rovers fan for 25 years+. First time this has happened. Wish I was home for it, but wouldn't know where to sit. Have fun in Edinburgh, those that are going. Hopefully there is no trouble. Tb
