Can’t believe the season starts on Saturday. How can you not be excited? Sounds like we will have some defenders show up this week that we desperately need. I would start,from the likely options available: ——————Walton——————— Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Downing ————Travis——Johnson———— Rothwell———Dack——-Armstrong ——————-Brereton—————— No one wants Charlie starting or Downing at LB, but here we are. You could bump Nyambe in with Lenihan, and play Bennett or JRC at Right Back. The five in midfield pick themselves, Armstrong and Rothwell cutting inside off their wings, switching sides too. Brereton gets the start as he has looked good in pre season and deserves the jersey, Graham and Gallagher are great options off the bench for now.

20-25 Goals a season if played regularly in league one

Been a difficult summer on the transfer side of things but we will be bailed out by our ludicrously good academy products, Dack and Rothwell. Dont know too much about your list but the Smith Rowe guy from Arsenal would be decent on loan, but I don’t think there will be many more in. Maybe a Centre half and GK.

I’d go with that, with Rankin-Costello, Magloire, Buckley `and Butterworth all looking capable, you could shut the window after those four.

I think we have a huge hole at Right Wing, Arma isn’t consistent and Brereton is a huge question mark, and Bennett definitely isn’t good enough. Assuming we have a starting GK and CB ready to come in, this would be a great move.
