  1. Has anyone heard any Forgive Durden? I heard a track by them and sounded very good, I think they might be American>
  2. That's exactly what I thought when I was reading it, I just didn't want to give you any credit!
  3. Agreed, I think the shirt is tainted due to the footballing memories of that time!
  4. In my humble opinion, it is the worst Home shirt EVER!!
  5. A couple of great intros that pop into my head are :- How Soon Is Now - The Smiths Here Comes Your Man - The Pixies Sunday Blooday Sunday - U2 Hells Bells - AC/DC I could go on...
  6. The question is should Dunny come home, it's such a hot potatato that it deserves it's own thread. Perhaps we should call it ...............' Should Dunny come home ?' What does everyone think?
  7. Where's the do gooding? My response was to AESF etc saying Wright is a 'token' panelist. Start thinking- fool!
  8. Doc, I would stop there, before you make yourself look daft. It's one way or the other, play advantage and BOOK the offender, or blow and red card the offender. Sepp Blatter has even said the ref was too hasty, he should have allowed the action to continue, therefore giving a fair advantage to Barc ( a goal). It is deemed a professional foul IF it prevents a gaolscoring opportunity - it didn't, so Lehmann should have stayed on and kept goal for a team trailing by one goal to nil- end of discussion. Please people, understand the laws.
  9. What you are failing to understand, is the rule to send off in such instances is there to compensate for the taking away of a genuine goalscoring opportunity. Last night Barce. scored after the offence, therefore suffered no disadvantage, meaning no need for a red card. People saying the referee was technically right to send Lehman off are pedants who don't understand the spirit of the game.
  10. Tris, it would appear your PC is being used by a Spuds supporting colleague. This game WAS a prime example of football spoiled by referees. The Norwegian's performance was inept at best. Yes he got decisions wrong for both sides, but the balance was massively against the Arse. I would like to bet, that with so many risible decisions, we won't see this buffoon reffing such a prestige showpiece in the near future. What was that?... he's officiating in the world cup?... has anyone seen me coat?
  11. Well done LD, you have been a worthy successor to Rev, and made sure the fans 'column was the first thing I read in Tuesaday's LET.
  12. No no Manc. He's displayed it by being our player of the season two years running, and by putting in some sterling performances this season, icluding the world class display against Henry and his Arse.
  13. Sorry Stu, but you're wrong. As a team we are looking lethargic, that could not be labelled against us in the first half of the season, irrespective of the line up!
  14. No one said teams were outrunning us! We have relied on the high energy, phyisical game for much of this season. Our performances are clearly below the standard we set ourselves. This- in my opinion- is down to exhaustion. Believe it or not, it's a scientific fact that the body can suffer burn out if it is pushed to it's limits week in, week out! Physically, and mentally we look tired. The enforced break could not have come at a better time (well two weeks ago would have been better, but you know what I mean).
  15. Where's the evidence of burn out??? Just compare our performances! Do you actually watch the games???
