  1. Maybe I haven't made myself clear Bryan. If the reason for wanting to return is exclusively family related, then he has shown great courage to hand in a request. However, if the reason is because he feels he can't hack it at Premiership level and wants to return to the comfort zone, then yes, he deserves the flack. I am niether defending or attacking the guy at this point (he is still a Rovers player). I prefer to reserve my thoughts until I know more. And BTW I believe the reasons for a move will become apparent after the event.
  2. You can just call me Scotty. Objective my arse - usual blinkered rubbish. OK if me waiting for the facts to come out is blinkered then so be it. I bow to your superior judgement!
  3. Scotty (Oh mighty one!) Please point out where I have even intimated everything is fine. I feel I am just a little more objective than most
  4. Bit disappointed with the fickle reactions on here. First of all Fregie is a great player! (admittedly, he has only showed flashes of this since the injury). Secondly, no one yet knows the real reason for handing in the transfer request. It could be family related, if so you have to ADMIRE the guy's bottle because he would know that he would get stick (from all quarters south of the border, as well as one half of Glasgow) for returning to Scotland. So personally I am going to wait and watch developments before I make any knee jerk comments
  5. I'm with Rover6 on this one, MGP needs REAL games to improve/adapt. These could come in the form of 15/20 at the end of games - simple!
  6. Got one Sigur Ros album, and although the style is my cup o' tea, I think the content is weak. BTW I saw Doves at Blackpool on Friday - awsome as ever, a great live band. They are touring in March, I can highly recommend a visit!
  7. Exactly my impression of Thommo at the moment. We currently need a saviour, and it would seem that he has taken it upon himself to be that man. The problem being he IS trying too hard. He was effective against Citeh, awsome against Brum, but then came the one man team bit. It looks to me like a good player believing he is great.
  8. Add Scorpions to that list, theyre touring with Judas Priest (original Priest line up)
  9. There are some paranoid androids on this thread
  10. I've heard from a source within the club (no I'm not telling), that Hughes does not rate young Stead (don't shoot the messenger). BTW my opinion on Gallagher- he's the new Chris Sutton.
  11. People saying he is crap are obviously Sun readers. A fair conclusion cannot be drawn yet due to a lack of appearences. I think what most people who are arguing against his inclusion (at present) are saying, is that he is not yet ready!
  12. Theno, don't bother coming back up for air- you've been well and truly pummled
  13. Er, no. Not at all serious. Besides it'll never happen anyway - now that he's wearing his Andy Todd disguise and playing at Centre Half Sociedad will never find out I think they might suspect. He looks nothing like our Andy Todd... have you seen that white wig!!!
  14. At last somebody else with their feet on the ground Excellent RR and my feelings entirely. ???? Christmas seems the same to me, just more commercial (and a month longer than it used to be!). But do let me know if they've banned it cos I'll save a fortune
  15. It's probably something to do with those siesta things.
  16. 1864, No offence but I think you are being naive if you believe there won't be an increased focus on BRFC supporters from the media tomorrow.
  17. Rover 6, Cuidado, just read the above post everytime the conspiracy theory enters your head, as , in my opinion this is probably the most accurate summing up of events surrounding MGP. Calm down, chill out and your time will come
  18. Not too sure about that Capt. To me it looked like the moron was gesturing with his hands in the region of his armpits, apeing a chimp. Now that is my interpretation of what I have seen from TV pictures, and it is quite possible that my view has been distorted by the uproar following this unsavoury incident. What I'm saying is there were hundreds of people gesticulating and screaming abuse at Yorke on Sunday, however the incident in question does appear to have grounds for further invetigation.
  19. Listening to 'Pleased To Meet You' - the most underrated, yet finest album James made.
  20. I can't beleive the LET has only had letters from the 'Disgraced from Ewood' mob. It seems suspiciously unbalanced, however coming from a paper that is aspiring to be the local Daily Mail, should we be surprised?
  21. better in front of goal? as his blazed effort against Man U showed, and im sorry but Reid is a better direct free-kick player He has also scored for us!
