But we don't have the money for that though. Kaminski, Ayala, Douglas (if he signs) improves our first 11 from last season imo. Bradley Johnson looks a much better player this year.Rankin Costello integrated into the squad. Buckley seems to be coming into it a bit more.Holtby seems to have found his place in the side.Better signs from Rothwell also.Been a lot of improvement in Armstrong since he moved up front. Dolan keeps playing the way he is another improvement on our first 11.Brereton looks improved. Pears or the Greek guy are surely better than Leutwiler? Our best player in Dack still to come back. With the addition of Douglas we have a better first 11 and squad than last year imo. Another established midfielder would be nice but if we don't have the money what can we do,other than take a chance on a premier league loan? An awful lot to be positive about imo

I'd go with Buckley instead of Evans but TM will probably start with Evans if he is fit
-
He can't move to a premier league club at least until January.Prem to Prem transfers ain't permitted in this second window . We won't sign him but say it is likely he will join a championship team on loan before deadline
-
Don't think we have to worry about who starts between Wilson and Dolan. He won't be coming here
-
I'm not against Downing coming back if we secure a left back and a midfielder first. They must think the Greek goalkeeper Isnt ready if Pears Is coming in
-
Sounds like we will have a few out at the weekend
-
It's either a loan to the championship or no first team football at least until January. I think he will join a championship club but think other teams are likely to offer more. The two Welsh sides in for him and so are Derby who he played for previously
-
Well he did say 2 or 3 today, there is always tomorrow for the fourth
-
If we are bringing in 2 or 3 now then it would be logical to think the cash injection has something to do with it
-
Yeah he has said many times we are close to a few only for nothing to happen. At least this time we will find out by 5pm tomorrow
-
Are you not amazed that Mowbray hasn't had to sell any of our big hitters like you predicted for the countless window in a row. Window to date has been ok,left back will take it to being a very good window.
-
Douglas from Leeds is close according to multiple reports. That will be left back sorted. Sign Pears or not it will be a good window IF Douglas signs as expected.
-
I'd move Evans on if any interest.Sick of him always being fit for international duty but hardly ever for us.
-
Probably didnt see we signed a goalkeeper the other week Would be ridiculous if this is true

He has had injurys whilst here and was playing further forward. He seems to have found a place that suits him playing deeper now and although only for a short period he has looked a class above in the games so far. I agree that Bannan is a top class midfielder in the championship, but comparing Bannans and Holtby careers like chalk n cheese, Holtby has spent the majority of his career at top division clubs whilst Bannan has spent it in the championship.
-
Bannan is a very good midfielder for this level and although he has only started doing the business for us for a short period id argue Holtby is a more talented player than Bannan. Played at a higher level for much longer period.

It's not happening,Premier league have released a statement 'PL clubs reject Project Big Picture, L1 & L2 bailout agreed' https://www.skysports.com/share/12103872
-
Why is he still a freebie though. He is probably looking for a similar contract as he had with us last year, hence him still being available. Did very well for us last year and has a touch of class but where would he play if we resigned him.Don't see where he fits in if we continue with the high press.
-
Who said that though?I seen a few say IF we sign Douglas we would all surely be happy with our window. It will be a good window IF we sign Douglas or another left back of similar ability.
-
https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18794102.rovers-progressing-deal-leeds-united-full-back/ I see a bit of speculation that Boro are after Danny Rose, thought they were meant to be cutting back on spending, I doubt Levy would allow him leave without a big proportion of his wage being paid
-
This year's first choice back five will be Kaminski,Nyambe/Rankin Costello, Lenihen, Ayala,New left back as we will sign someone before deadline so it isn't the same back four as 4 years ago is it?Both Lenihen and Nyambe are better players now
-
That isn't what sparks rover said ,he said we have the same defence as four years ago.I didn't realise Kaminski and Ayala had been playing for us 4 year ago, and Lenihen had not long started playing centre half at that point.
-
Are you messing about on a wind up or do you just not have a clue? Some of the stuff you come out with. Mols better than Buckley? If Mols is up to it why has he gone on loan to the Spanish 4th division,I'm sure if he is as good as you say then he would have been scouted by other EFL teams and signed. Dack an awful signing and crap player when we bought him according to you. Now you are calling Ayala a carthorse despite him being one of the best defenders at this level in years gone by and only 29 years old. The same defence as four years ago.As has been pointed out both Lenihen and Nyambe are better players now,Ayala a top defender at this level and if we sign Douglas he has two promotions to the Prem in last 3 years. Talking nonsense, you must be on a wind up
-
Nixon reckons Swansea favourite to sign him. Be a good signing for them but speculation that Ayew could be on the move to the premier league he would be a loss
