Well if true that he can't sign defenders then Mowbray isn't the man of honesty and integrity I thought he was. Mowbrays comments on brererton at the time he was signed suggested he was his signing.The same when he said defenders are coming.So basically you saying Mowbray is a liar and is only here for the money? No man of integrity,no man of honour would work under such conditions and if Mowbray is working under those conditions and lieing to the fans then he is no better than Kean or Coyle in my opinion. My take on it is he has just spent the money badly.

Mowbray had a budget and he chose to spend the majority of it on Sam Gallagher. We have terrible owners that can't be disputed but since Mowbray has been at the helm he has been backed. He hasn't had to sell any of our better players and has spent close to 15 million on Gallagher,brererton and Armstrong. Downing, Johnson and Holtby will be on decent money or will have got significant signing on fees certainly in the case of Johnson (who had a year left on a lucrative deal at Derby) and no way would Holtby have been coming here if our deal in terms of pay wasn't attractive. The manager has spent badly and it's too easy just to throw the blame at our owners door with statements like the manager is being told he can't bring in defenders.

So Mowbray was just telling bare faced lies when he told the fans "defenders are coming"? If he is being stopped from spending money on defenders than why make such a statement?

Just because he is lightweight doesn't mean he couldn't have an effect at league one or two level. When he has been spoken about by Mowbray and the other coaching staff they always mention how he always seems to have time on the ball and in space. I'm not saying he is going to be a superstar and I'm not saying he will definitely make it, but if we are to let him leave on loan it will be to league one or two level not to conference north, might aswell release him or sell him if we are sending him down to that level when he has been making the bench and getting a few minutes at championship level

you have and it's nonsense.Absolutely no idea why you think it's a good thing long term for Buckley to be spending his time sat on the bench not playing. We make these signings you want then he will most likely not even be on the bench

yes but getting a few minutes here and there isn't any good long term to our younger players caddy.They need to be playing and getting experience.

Samuel,Chapman and Smallwood ain't involved with the first team squad though. If new signings are made then the likes of Buckley with most likely be dropping out of the match day squad. Surely long term it would be more beneficial for us for the younger fringe players to head out on loan and get valuable minutes and experience playing senior football at league one level?

Listened to the Mowbray interview on Radio lancs after the game and he spoke about Johnson,He didn't seem happy that Johnson hadn't found a place to live up here and was saying the travelling to and from training had been taking it's toll on his fitness. He looked fitter today and kept possession better than he had been doing prior to him losing his place in the team.

Mowbray has been backed.He has spent close to 15 million on Brererton ,Gallagher and Armstrong. Downing,Holtby and Johnson will also have been given hefty signing on fees. Christ plenty of reasons to criticise our owners but no way can Mowbray complain about lack of backing. Rejected a big money bid from West brom for Dack last year,and he has given a host of players improved contracts here. Only player we have sold of any value in his time here has been Raya and it was clear Mowbray didn't fancy him

How many matches has Brererton played in his natural position though? No doubt about it the 7 million could have been spent better, on the here and now rather than potential but without a run of games and continuity it's hard for any player to get in a rhythm and make an impression. Armstrong is played every week and rarely makes an impression.
