  1. So it wasn’t a genuine question at all it was to score points. Don’t know why I gave you the benefit of the doubt. Lesson learned.
  2. Why does everyone make it so personal? And then get so uptight when they get one back? Double standards on here are palpable. The reason for the comment is obvious. The younger posters on here are in the main defending him. “He should be out and about the day before a match that he isn’t involved in. It’s a free country. He’s a grown man.” The older posters in the main have higher expectations of a professional footballer paid thousands of pounds who should be focussed on getting back fit. As always though on here, the groundswell is to go round and round with ad hominem posts and make what was an original disappointment into a great bit of sport in gleefully disagreeing with me for the sake of it. One thing it does show though is the number of twentysomething posters we have on here who can’t tell their arses from their elbows and think social media is the best place to prove it.
  3. First of all, I’ve not suggested he was drinking. Different story and for me should be a disciplinary if he was. To answer your question - imho... 1) Just how injured is he - he looks to be squatting down quite well on it? 2) If he is injured he could even go over on it again if it isn’t fully right and extend his lay off. Injuries can be - and are - caused by the most innocuous is circumstances. 3) Is he really doing everything he can to get back fit? E.g. resting and looking after it or is he taking his time and prioritising having a laugh. 4) Why does it need to be posted on social media to rub everyone’s noses in it? Yes, it was his ‘mate’ but he has put himself in that situation and surrounds himself with airheads. 5) His mate posting it has made it a public issue - at which point it brings the spotlight on the club and his team mates. Here is where the immediate problems start. 6) After the event, the team looked completely out of sorts today. Maybe a coincidence but their team spirit was a huge feature of last season and after a reasonable start their tails should still have been up. There wasn’t even the same today fight. Too many players weren’t in the right frame of mind. Could well be a coincidence, maybe fatigue levels are higher than last season but... 7) ...all I’ve said it that it can’t have helped. How do we know that half the players haven’t been laughing and the more experienced players weren’t disappointed in him. Maybe it created an atmosphere in the dressing room. Just pointing out his unprofessionalism on here has caused a bit of excitement and division. Who knows.
  4. Another one in a great mood. Personally I’m still gutted about today’s result so forgive me for not sharing in your delight. Amazing that some posters are like pigs in shit because of some being disappointed about a professional player letting his team mates down. One more thing though. Next time you go bleating about how you are bullied so that your guardian angels have to step in and defend your honour, I want you to remember this post.
  5. Laughing straight after the whistle shows you don’t care either way.
  6. Very calm, Chris. Nice that you’ve spoken to the players. Did you ask about how much they laughed at Dack having the craic last night? I bet they were all having a right old laugh about it in the dressing room after the game.
  7. Keep on laughing and making up slurs. Glad Rovers losing heavily has made your day.
  8. Gutted because we lost? No, gutted because of the manner of it. You keep on laughing and enjoying yourself though.
  9. Bell? There are so many other players in the firing line before him. Nyambe, Smallwood, Lenihan would be candidates from the defensive players. Armstrong was profligate with his chances, Graham didn’t impose himself at all. Palmer is looking like a show pony of the Rochina mould. Rothwell made an instant impact when he came on with his energy alone but the game had already gone. He should have started instead of Smallwood. If Nyambe is out for any length of time, then we are back to last season where Bennett’s energy in midfield is sacrificed. We will definitely need Rothwell then. I congratulated Mowbray last week. He has to take the blame today. Bad line up and odd subs. Like he did at times last year. He seems to be trying to be loyal to players and give them confidence. For that reason I also think Dack took something away from preparations.
  10. Are you effing serious? Don't you even care that we’ve been hammered today? You prefer having a giggle at random folk on the Internet because they don’t agree with you. You’re posting these gloating, laughing posts while some of us are absolutely gutted.
  11. Disappointing result. 2 weeks of deliberations. Villa will be licking their lips.
  12. To save repeating the same debate have a read of page 6 of this thread.
  13. Well it certainly hasn’t put them in the right frame of mind. The body language today has been shocking. Our team spirit is everything.
  14. Rothwell has made a big difference in only 10 minutes!
  15. Rothwell being dropped and Smallwood starting?
  16. Would have been nice if Dack had got himself back fit. Armstrong could have been used from the bench. Really bad way to sign off for the international break.
  17. We’ve not done well for defensive options this window. Bennett having to go to rb.
  18. We definitely are watching a different game. Bristol have been carving us open at will.
  19. Mowbray has brought on Brereton but not addressed the problems at the other end. Nobody to put their foot on the ball in midfield and a liability at right back. Trouble is, despite our relatively successful transfer window have no alternatives when Nyambe or Lenihan aren’t playing well. Even worse when both are playing badly.
