Fake news. They didn’t qualify. -

Never heard of him!

That would be the icing on the cake for sure.

With this plus Caddis and the unfortunate Samuel it’s hard to see a weak link in the side right now. Which in itself is a great sign of intent and looks like some real planning for the future is going on! The knives will be out for Joe Nuttall though. Unless that’s why we bought Rodwell...

The numbers being talked about for Dack are daft but if Phil Jones went for £16m before the huge Sky package increase then it suddenly becomes not that unreasonable.

Sorry I’ve got nothing! No way will we resist a bid of £20m. Not unless we are already in the PL - or in the top 6 in January.

The Confession Box - opinions you had which were wrong

The way things have fallen, if we sell Dack in January you may not yet be wrong...! -
Is he still there? Go over and tell him that he was brilliant in Phoenix Nights. And as you are leaving shout though the window: “can you hear me now?”
-
I don’t think so but £12m - even £20m is peanuts to a PL team. If we can take a £6-7m pint on a relatively unproven Brereton then they can risk it on Dack. He will have been scouted and clubs will know his capabilities. I don’t think he’ll go this window and I’d be very disappointed with Rovers if he did as not only would we lose our talisman but it would undermine our window and supposed investment. That said, if we were offered £20m right now we’d be daft not to take it.

European journey? They didn’t even get out of the car park!

Shame they can now focus on the league having not qualified for Europe this season but I’ll take them getting beat every day of the week. Imagine undermining everything they did last season, to give themselves a chance to qualify, in one night. In the end they were lucky to get Aberdeen in the the pre- pre- qualifier to make it look almost respectable. -

I honestly don’t mind. It’s not about right and wrong - which is always based on ones point of view. I was just looking at it from a functionality perspective. There are lots of great funny posts on here and I’d sacrifice the idiocy of a few for that functionality. You can’t please everyone and even if the “majority” won you’d still have complaints from the minority. I expect the complaints that caused its removal were from a minority - and they won the day anyway. Two things to consider: How many people actually visit Ask Admin to vote so it will only be a tiny “majority” out of the electorate. This isn’t a democracy, it’s your site do it how you see fit. If the complaints are a pain for you to administer then stick to your original decision and sacrifice the system functionality. Glenn used to describe himself as a Benevolent Dictator and I think that works in keeping anarchy under control.

Strange that a poll is necessary. Stranger still that you want twice as many to say yes as no. Don't bother. Leave it as it is if it’s that much of an ordeal.

I kind of wonder what kind of homework was done to understand Rodwell’s personality. Who would we have spoken to to get a thumbs up a this stage of his career, his mum? I find it hard to believe he was someone we had as a long term target. More like one of those agents texting him.

Probably correct. And has proven to be true. But at the time most were quite happy, possibly even impressed, by Whittingham‘s arrival.
