*Missed. Rothwell down at the minute.
-
Great assist from Travis - driving run through the middle of the park. Touch to his right for Graham. Nice finish by Graham just inside the box, right hand side. Brer who?

Nuttall with 10-bob ‘ead when it was easier to score!

It’s a really odd shape. This five at the back slash Caddis playing as a winger isn’t working. Not sure Rothwell has much to aim at tbf. Alway bemuses when managers pick a hybrid team. Either go for it or don’t. Or blood a couple of youngsters while maintaining a framework of first teamers. This one could yet get away from us. Need the shepherd’s crook to come out and put Caddis out of [our] misery.

Got a bit scrappy this last few minutes.

Might have been taken as if it wasn’t someone with a history of giving me nasty abuse. On the glass half full side, bright start for Rovers. Early goal smartly taken by Nuttall. Strange formation is a bit odd though. Caddis is an enigma though - and not in a good way. Couple of half chances but nothing yet troubling from a subdued Lincoln. Not (yet) the league-leading-cup-running side I was expecting to see.

Seriously? Some folk are looking for the slightest opportunity to get a cheap dig in.
-
He can’t possibly be fit. A couple of U23 games are required first to get him up to match fitness. If that’s beneath him then he hasn’t got the right attitude. Many a better player has had to do the same.
-
Why do people keep asking about Rodwell. He hasn’t played first team football for a year.
-
5 at the back? Or 4-4-2 with Bell on the wing? If we’d have used Coyle’s tombola machine I don’t think we could have come up with a more misfit team. Expect Lincoln (top of L2) to win this one with some ease.

Parking nazis out in force round Ewood tonight. Watch our where you leave your motor folks.

Possible but Stefan is Spanish.

Nope. Not having that. K-Hod is a very well respected poster on here and does a good job balancing his own opinion with being a fair mod. For zero credit or thanks. Pipe down and stick to the topics at hand.

Which was the argument to NOT sign Rodwell.

Mark Hughes said their were no more hidden gems about 10 years ago. Yet amazingly players have continued to be developed. The next Bradley Dack is out there. It will be interesting to see who is the bigger success at the end of the season. Rothwell or Brereton.
-
Be nice if it was £5m plus England related add-ons. £7m is nearly 10 Dack’s...
-
We don’t do that any more.

Rodwell should be nowhere near our midfield. Travis is energetic but is still a novice in the middle (people still don’t seem to get this). Davenport is an unknown at this stage. Have we brought him in only to replace him with Reed? Evans and Smallwood are our only recognised centre midfielders under Mowbray. He prefers to play Bennett, Rothwell and even Armstrong out of position to cover the lack of genuine wingers. Rothwell and Bennett could revolutionise our centre midfield with a holding player behind them - probably Evans (if in form) or Reed. Our lack of natural width is a strange one given our alleged budget. Which suggests it’s a tactical decision.

It only takes a minute.

Rodwell won’t be near the team. We do need to try out a right back though. Would be disappointed if it was Caddis as I think he is on his way out. It would be good to have a look at Travis there.

“The club is going in the right direction with the momentum from last season and the start we have had this season. I'm told we have been unlucky not to have won a couple more games." Got to love his reference to ‘we’ already. If Rodwell was a nothing signing, this is definitely one that feels like a very positive one. Shame it’s a loan but I guess that means Southampton want their cake and lend it too. If he does well they can command a bigger fee from us or someone else - or even keep him. But it shows that they think highly of him. If Brereton signs today too then it looks like we are going for a young line up with the experience on the periphery rather than in the first XI.

The club have taken it down from the main site already. Someone copied your post onto Fb.
