  1. Agree. Didn't expect anything, got nothing, goal difference impact could have been worse. The issue for me is, again, we looked to be totally clueless in possession and going forward. One shot on target. It was a pretty horrible performance.
  2. He is. I don't mind that in a manager - if you've earned the right.
  3. I honestly don't understand this at all. Tombola Time? If Giles is to be in this team it can only be in Pickering's place. And I'm sure he would be much better there than Pickering. But his strength is crossing and we have no-one to cross to. So why is he even at the club? It's all totally devoid of any sense or strategy.
  4. Including manager. We were screwed before the players got on the pitch.
  5. Yeah I can't watch any more of this. It's a terrible, nonsensical line up set up to give us no chance at all if (once) a goal is conceded. Its awful to see.
  6. FFS that's that then. Game over, surely? Van Hecke, Kaminsky, Lenihan all not at the races there. Gifted.
  7. Decent half. Very little to show for it due to the totally predictable lack of goalscoring instinct throughout this team. I don't blame the players, they are what they are. It was the January transfer window total failure that cost us. Cheers Tony and Venkys.
  8. We've missed our chance here. Will be lucky to get anything from this. Bright starts count for nothing.
  9. I've felt until tonight that it was a case of get to the end of the season. But I'm now thinking a managerial change this week is the one roll of the dice that might turn our fortunes around in time to salvage a top 6 finish this time around. It won't happen.
  10. I don't disagree. Although I maintain the manager has more opportunity to do things about it: On the training pitch, in the transfer market, in his selections. If the players are playing shite, then it is up to the manager to change things - between games, before them, or during. We do not have a manager who takes that responsibility. So why would his players all adopt a different approach in response? He is supposedly in charge of these things. We miss out on playoffs, we should have a big change around. Manager and players.
  11. Who picks them, mate? And the formation. Go out there and be a False 9, Bucko. It's ridiculous and it's gone on for months, without the signings made to offer something different. It is on Tony. And the players' attitudes have also been appalling. So I'll vent my anger at several of them. But ultimately the manager needs to take responsibility for his decisions.
  12. For me tonight ends our chance of play-offs. I just can't see what the change is going to be that will turn our form around so significantly as to get more points that QPR, Sheff U, Middlesbrough, Huddersfield etc will. We are screwed.
  13. I feel sick. Genuinely close to tears at the sheer hopelessness of the situation and how totally impotent this team has become. Action could have been taken in January to avoid all of this. The fact that it wasn't should lead to Mowbray being out on his arse. The sooner the better. He has totally fucked this up. And if half the team leave then so be it. Most of them have not got the guts or attitude required to get out of this division. Rothwell, Buckley, Khadra. Talented but not as good as they (and some of our fans) think they are.
  14. This is spot on. The whole thing is just painful. We don't deserve to be anywhere near promotion candidates.
  15. Loving your work! The beers are ready for the match. I'm hoping I will be, too...!
  16. Thanks very much, Sky and/or EFL, for giving me a huge, and quite perilous, Valentines Day dilemma: Whether to go with the previously-agreed plan of cooking a romantic dinner for my, currently injured, wife and watching a 'nice film' together, or to order a takeaway and watch the match in standard 'Rovers Losing on TV' sullen silence. Definitely a difficult decision to make, here... Chinese or Indian?
  17. Sorry if this has already been covered and I have missed it, but what might we most realistically read into the fact that Mowbray is now just a few months from the end of his contract, and an extension doesn't appear to have been agreed yet? 1. An extension has been agreed but not announced? 2. An extension is dependent on Rovers finish to the season? 3. Mowbray hasn't yet been offered (improved) terms he is happy with? 4. Mowbray wants to leave at the end of his contract? 5. Venky's have already decided to replace him at the end of the season? 6. Venky's haven't engaged in contract discussion, or shown any interest in the club? Whilst my view is option 2 is the most sensible, my money would have to be on option 6. But perhaps others know more about these, or other, options?
  18. Oh, I had forgotten Giles was playing. Seems like he is brilliant everywhere except here?
  19. Van Hecke awful, there. At least we put in some fight second half. But we are SO short on quality. If only we had just had a transfer window to utilise. Really sad. And infuriating.
  20. Could we maybe try starting the next few with 10 men? May as well leave Buckley out and have the attitude of the last 10-15 mins.
  21. Can't agree, mate. They've made us look like lower league opposition on several occasions.
  22. FFS Lenighan. Symbolic of the throwing away of the whole of this season.
  23. Bloody Rothwell. No need for that foul and yellow card, at all. Since the Bournemouth episode, it seems like he has totally lost focus - perhaps trying too hard. Really frustrated with him.
